MY PS got screwed up!!!!!!!

I'm really ticked off today because when I called to confirm my PS at Chef Mickey's for my meal next week they had me down at Cape May's instead. They took my ressie down wrong and now I can't get a PS at Chef Mickey's. I know it's mot the end of the world but we look forward to going there every trip. Cape May's is ok, I've been there before, but it's no Chef Mickey's. Gonna try tomorrow again to see if there's any cancellations. Leaving saturday. Wish me luck.

Is it a good idea to call ahead to confirm your dining ressies? I didn't even think of this until I read your post. I guess so huh.

I always confirm mine even though I usually have alot and it takes a while. Also while I am on the phone I alway repeat what they say " so I have chef mcikeyss sept 2nd 5:00pm correct?" and I always repeat back the number they give me. Also just because they get it right when they take it down I have heard of people showing up for ps's and having problems ..... I have never had this happen but just in case I type all my ps numbers and any other conformation numbers I need and size them real small til they are the size of a credit card. Then I carry it in my wallet just in case I ever run into a problem I can say here is my ps number.

so what do they do when they make the mistake. i have already repeated back the confirmation numbers. so if i show up with my number and info in hand are they going to turn me away for a dinner????

When the MK park hours changed, I called to change some PSs last week. The absolutely wonderful CM that I had told me that there were about 4 PS that had the wrong name on them..misspelled or just wrong. He asked me what conf. numbers I had, he matched them to what he had and corrected the name!! They even had me down for meals that I had canceled over a month ago!!!

Be sure to copy your times, and conf. numbers down, and take them with you. And call Dining before you go, just to make sure they have you in there!!

Besides bringing the #'s with you, when you check in to your resort, ask the CM to print a copy of your PS's. Peace of mind at the beginning of your trip, or time to get things straightened out if need-be!

I'm really sorry this happened to you. It's a very good thing that you called to check your PS's ahead of time so that you can now try to get a PS at Chef Mickey's. It would've been much worse if you hadn't checked your PS's and didn't find out until you showed up for the meal! Good luck to you in getting a PS at CM.

This is why I always call to confirm my PS's before the trip - it doesn't happen a lot, but people make mistakes and these kinds of things can happen anywhere, even Disney!

Can anyone tell me...if I show up to a PS with one more person, will they accept the reservation?
