My Proposed Itinerary - Comments Please (Long)

Okay we leave Friday August 19th returning Friday August 26th.
We are planning not to do EMH.
Cast will be: Me, DH, DM, DS (11), DS (6), DS (3) - we have a two bedroom
DSis and two Nephews (10 & 8) - they have a Studio
DMIL and DFIL - They have a Studio


Fri. Aug 19
Leave from Philly 7:00am
Rent Car/Check In BCV
Hit Outlets/Grocery Store
Dinner: BOMA

Sat Aug 20th
DH and Oldest Boys to Kennedy
Me, DM and Little guy (3) hang by pool
My DS arrives that day
Dinner: Chef Mickey

Sun Aug 21
Inlaws arrive this day
EPCOT
Dinner ESPN
Wishes Cruise (Wishes at 9:00)

Mon Aug 22
MGM/Day - Saw Fantasmic two years ago, have no desire to do it again
Night: EPCOT Illunimations

Tues Aug 23
Finally MK Day - All day
Lunch: Crystal Palace

Wed Aug 24
Pool Day or BB
DTD

Thurs Aug 25
Back to MK
Dinner at Palace

Friday Aug 26
Flight at 4:30
Last minute shopping at DTD

This is our first trip in the Summer, and we are going to take it light, with lots of rest.

Looks like a good plan.

My only suggestion is that instead of ESPN, you look at Big River Grille and Brewery.

For about the same $$, I think BRGB has better food than ESPN. They are both located on Boardwalk, so location is the same. At least with me, I've eaten at ESPN Zones in several cities, so it is not anything unique nor anything spectacular. BRGB is a bit more unique.

Where does the Wishes Cruise leave from that night? The Boardwalk may not be a good place to eat dinner if you are launching from MK area.

I agree with ESPN but it is a must do for my die hard sports fan DH and Sons. The Wishes Cruise is out of the Contemporary, maybe we should rethink ESPN for that night and go to a Contemporary resturant of even Beaches and Cream for some thing quick.

How about swapping Chef Mickey's from Sat to Sunday and doing ESPN on Saturday?

That way, you eat at Contemporary on Sunday before WISHES, then go outside and get the boat. No worries about being late and missing the launch.

Or, you could do ESPN on Monday.....you are doing EPCOT Illumunations that night which is an easy walk from ESPN/Boardwalk.

While I was on the phone with the CM finalizing my Wishes Cruise info. She suggested the Concourse Steakhouse. So we made a reservation for that.

The reason why we are not doing Chef Mickey on Sunday is that my Inlaws really do not want to do it, so we are going before they come.

Planning for three families is getting more difficult. I do not think we will ever go on an extended family vacation again.

I am wondering how you are going to waite so long to goto MK with young kids. We can stand to waite no more then the next day after we arrive to go there!

I know the wait will kill me too, but we are not doing any EMH. Also my Inlaws are not getting to WDW till Sunday afternoon, and they want to go with us to MK.

I really want to go in on Sat Night so, I am thinking after Chef Mickey, a quick little trip to MK would be a good idea.
