My present came a day early!

I have been getting really nervous about a resale at BWV. We sent our deposit on May 14 and had not yet passed ROFR. I have been reading these boards and how quickly the ROFR process has been proceeding. I finally couldn't stand it and called Pat at Timeshare Store on Saturday. She said that she was wondering also and had it on her desk to check on Monday. Pat called today, ONE DAY BEFORE I RETIRE, to say that all is well and that I will be hearing from the closing company soon. Woohoo! I had hoped that my birthday last week would be the charm, but I was just too impatient!
Details for those who are in a similar situation:
BWV, October use year, 150 points, all 2003 points banked into 2004 and no borrowed points. $72/point. We pay closing and 2004 maintenance.

Wow, what a terrific birthday/retirement present for you! Congratulations -- hope we get to meet you sometime at BWV.

We just made an offer on another BWV contract today! Honestly think we will be stopping after this - don't know if we can afford the maintenance fees on many more points! Luckily, this contract has a lot of banked points which we won't be able to use so we will probably rent out these points and use the $$$ towards next year's maintenance fees! Creative money management, huh!!

Again, glad to hear you finally got the good word!!

Last day of school is today (Tuesday). I always bring the kids to my house for an end-of-the-year picnic so I'm hoping that the rain waits til later this afternoon or I will end up doing the smores in the fireplace (messy--had to do it one other year). Bob has the hotdogs and hamburgers all ready to go. I'm wearing a Disney shirt today that the staff gave me. It says "Celebrating Retirement. Teaching: 34 Years of Magic." I'm ready to rumble!!
