I mentioned in my post that I selling my DVC to to help my paralyzed son for a Stem Cell transplant to help him maybe to regain use of his arms and legs.. I mentioned this because I see all sought of things here on the boards and I never thought that this was somhow taboo.

Just FYI. The moderators discussed the post you questioned and decided that even though the cause was a good one we must enforce Pete's rules for the site (see below for specific item and click on FAQ to access the site's general forum usage rules). The post was removed and the OP was sent a PM explaining the reasons.

1. FOR SALE posts: For sale ads are strictly prohibited on any of the DISboards. Anyone posting such ads will have their posts deleted. For sale posts include posts asking for donations. If you are part of a charity that is looking to raise money, you must email the webmaster at webmaster@wdwinfo.com with information and proof of the organizations validity (this includes an address for the organization as well as the phone number). Otherwise, the post in question will be deleted.

For the DVC forums the no sale rule means that we do not mention the resort, Use Year or number of points. Without that the OPs post would have been okay.

My hope is that we can keep on message here and focus our good thoughts and prayers on supporting the family, the success of the procedure and a recovery for their son. Keep us informed Joe.

Joe, I just wanted to reiterate my Prayers and concerns for your son that I posted on the other thread. I do, however, agree that the "for sale" post did raise a red flag for me too. Please keep us posted on how everything is progressing both with your sale and your son's surgery.

Have you contacted the Timeshare Store (a sponsor of these boards) in selling your DVC ? I missed your first thread so not sure if this was mentioned. Good luck in getting your contract sold. I have a feeling you won't have any trouble with that.
