My Points- Where's my gift card?

I have been a member of my points for over a year now, and have thought that they were a good way to get a little something for giving some of my time.
I finally had enough points for the $50. gift card that I wanted, and ordered it. It's been about 8 weeks now. I had 2 trips durring that time, and never looked into it, thinking that 5-8 wks might not be unusual. When I looked into my account, and how they show a timeline of activity, it appeared that it had been sent out already. They say to give it ten days, but it's been way over that. Oh-No.
I emailed them, and the replied that they would look into it. So, am I just out those 7500 points??? I guess there's no way to track a gift card. I am so bummed...

I had applied for my points before my last vacation, the card did not come in time, when I got to the parks they issued a new card, cancelled out the one in the mail, they did this right at the parks at I believe the guest services window that was right outside the entrance to the park(we did it a MK but each park has one or so I was told) Just call the card # they were very helpful when I called

It sounds like you are talking about Disney Rewards, but the OP is talking about mypoints.com.

It took me 3-4 months to get one of my gift cards. They do keep saying they are looking into it. Give them time and then ask again. You won't lose your points. I eventually did get my card.

I cashed in a $50 Outback gc & received it in 2 weeks ! I was expecting at least 1 month. Let's see b/c I just cashed in a $25 for Cracker Barrel & that was 1 week ago ? Maybe it depends on the merchant ?? I'm saving for Kohl's now !! I accumulate points like crazy since I buy tons of e-books from Barnes & Noble, also I put through anything I buy online through Mypoints & I accumulated 10,000 in almost no time !

I can't believe it's been taking that long now for My Points GCs!!! I have never had one take longer than 14 days from the time I redeemed.

It does seem to take longer for some of their cards vs other ones. Took 8 weeks for the Landry card but only 2 weeks for the Panera.

I had a Red Lobster one take almost 3 months. They had to issue me a new one and the other one never did show up.

I've been doing My Points for a few years now. When I first started, I'd get my gift cards in 1-2 weeks of redeeming points. Now, even though they deduct the points immediately, the status stays "in process" for at least 2 weeks. Then it usually takes another 2 weeks at least to actually receive it. And it doesn't seem to matter what card I choose - I've picked different restaurants and stores every time; it always takes that long now.
