A few weeks back...I had e-mailed MyPoints.com about when WebCertificates and Rain Forest Cafe Gift Cards would return to their redemption list. Just like everyone else before me, I received the generic response that they would be returning within a few weeks.

I responded to the generic response specifically asking about WebCerts and RFC gift cards. Well, as most of you know, the RFC gift cards are back up in the redemption offers...but, we are still waiting for the WebCerts. Here's the response that I just received a few minutes ago from my specific request about 3 weeks ago:

Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Services.
We are currently still in the process of uploading offers to our new website. Rest assured that ALL of our Point earning and spending opportunities will be available to you again shortly and this includes Webcertificates and most likely Rainforest Cafe. We apologize for any temporary inconvenience.

Have a nice day.

So...it's still looking good for getting WebCerts back....sometime in the future.

Just wanted share this tidbit of information....

I called last week and spoke to a rep who said that they are definitely bringing Webcertificates back. She couldn't give me a time frame though.

Hopefully WebCerts will be back soon. I only do 4 RP's (MyPoints, Milesource, CR, CttM), and this is the only one offering WebCerts. I hope they're brought back soon!

Rainforest GC are back on the My Points list  , but they are shown as "Temporarily Out of Stock." :(

Webcertificates are basically prepaid Mastercard debit cards and can be accepted anywhere that Mastercard is accepted.

You basically set up an online account and can add WebCertificates to your account. The account is a standard 16 digit credit card type account number with expiration date and that 3 digit security code.

You can either use that account number to purchase items online or over the phone....or, you can pay an addition $7 to get an actual card in hand that you can use in person at retail outlets where Mastercard is accepted.

Most people use them in one of two ways that I've seen posted on these boards:

1) They call into Disney Reservations and use the card to pay down the balance on their room reservation before arriving. By calling in, you don't need the actual card in hand...just the account number, expiration, etc.

2) They bring the account number, expiration, etc to a Disney Store and purchase Disney Dollars. They ask the salesperson to physically type the account number, etc into the Mastercard machine since they have no actual card.

Hope this helps...
