How long has it been taking people to get the web certificates via email? I "ordered" 2 of them May 22 and haven't received them yet and am getting worried...when I order a reward that I get through snail mail I usually get it within 2 weeks.

Thanks!

lately its been takin about 4-6 weeks.... So it will come soon!

it was a little over a month for me.

My two most recent Web Certificates were given to me exactly 6 weeks after I cashed my points in. 6 weeks to the day.

My Points also has not been crediting me for points I earned, too.

I shopped twice from Avon using 2 different emails they sent me. One was for 1000 points and one was for 500 points.

I had to email them both times well after a month when points didn't post. Later I was told not to contact them via email anymore. You are supposed to search through your account to the transaction you used to purchase and file a claim that way.

I earned 500 points for an Avon purchase. It's on my account, but it's pending until August 15. I purchased in May. My credit card statement already came in and was paid. Three months for pending 500 points is ridiculous, imho.

I have noticed lately that MP has slipped in their crediting dept. I have signed up for certain things (York Photo, various surveys) that are at least 50 pointers. It shows that I did the click-thru but nothing else. I have emailed them and was given the "30 day" schpeel. Come on...you'll credit me the 5-10 click-thru points, but not the others?? I have been keeping close tabs on my acct since I am waiting to hit the 10500 mark so I can get some WebCerts for September. Now if it is going to take me 6 weeks to get them, MP better get on the ball and start properly crediting my account! They are famous for not crediting me for Cabela's purchases. It takes a few months of jumping thru hoops, but eventually I get them.

Most of my click-thru emails get posted the sme day. ALso, most of my shopping gets credited within days (of course with the pending date listed). The only one I had a problem with was buy.com. I bought a digital camera through them. 30 days passed and no credit. I used the new procedure to contact them exactly at the 30 day mark & the points were credited immediately (but pending for another 30 days).

Thanks you guys. I'm glad to know that it's taking so long because I know I haven't mistakenly deleted emails, but that stinks that it takes so long! I was expecting them within a few days on the (faulty) assumption that if it takes 2 weeks through regular mail then email must be quicker! :rotfl: I've had problems with points too and have to contact them. Once I do the points are credited immediately.

I wanted to use the $50 to pay toward our room at WDW but they won't be here before we lose the ressie - oh well, I'll know for next time.

Lately I have had lots of problems with My Points crediting my points for several different offers.
I have e-mailed them as it is now going on 60 days for one offer.
They asked for confirmations which I forwarded. Now I get no response other than the standard reply saying someone will get back to me within 48 hours.
It has now been over 4 weeks and still no explanation from them.
My friend is still waiting for his points earned on his MyPoints credit card since October 2005
They keep telling him will be soon as technical problems
:sad2:

When the Avon 1000 points thing came out earlier this year, I decided to try it. And got zero points. I won 100 points playing the Dads and Grads game. I didn't see the points. I emailed them after 15 days, got no reply. The points finally sowed up, but they put a 30 day hold on them, after I already waited 25 days. I can understand putting a 30 day hold on shopping points, in case of returns, but to hold points that they are giving is pretty ridiculous. I don't shop through them, I like ebates much better, all I have to do is click to the merchant and my rebate shows up with in 2 day in my account.

I wonder if they are waiting until they actually get the money from the merchants now before they credit on some of these (like Avon) instead of when Avon verifies the sales? I know that with some of the merchants that we use, we do not get paid until 90-120 days after the sales. I just assume that part of the business is that you pay out your members and then you get your money later. But maybe they have been burned pretty big by some companies that end up not paying later?

Not trying to defend them...just trying to figure out where all of these problems are coming from with such a reputable company with massive corporate funding.

I just wish they would at least answer the e-mails sent to them so you know what the problem is. :sad2:

I agree with Gizmo, I would not be concerned if they would communicate better. But when I wont the points the screen said it would take up to 10 days for them to show in my account. It took almost 30 and then they put a hold on them, and they are the opnes giving me the points, no merchant involved.

Sunshinegirl, I had no idea that merchants lagged so far behind. I think that pretty much is bad business, 30 days I can see, but 120! It's no wonder many rewards sites are no longer in business. I do like your site!

I have really been surprised at the extremely reputable companies that I have seen not paying their affiliates for months at a time. I am talking about some of the biggest names in online shopping that are known for their brick and mortar businesses as well. And then you have the really small companies who pay their affiliates (the people who put their banners and links on their websites to advertise for them) within 15 days of the close of the month. I guess the big companies can get away with it because everyone wants to shop through them anyway? So we (the affiliates) just put up with the crummy terms. :confused3
