My Points - Dining?

Is anyone participating in the MyPoints Dining and if so is it worth it? I read through the FAQs and am up for joining but before I do I wanted to get some comments. Thanks!

I think it is the same program that is used for American Airline Miles and Delta Skymiles Dining. Once a credit card is signed up for a particular program, you can't use it for another program.

After many years of not signing up, we realized that we go to many of the restaurants on the list. We now get points towards Delta (my credit cards) and American (my husband's cards) when we go to eat. I prefer to get the airline miles, but I'm sure the mypoints is good, too.

Just make sure that it is a free program. Check the participating restaurants. If these are places you would go to, absolutely sign up!

If I remember correctly, there is a list of the resaurants. Look at the list, if you go to those place, it's worth it; if not, no.

You will be able to sign up a number of cards, so you won't have to think about which one to use.

It's the same as iDine and I think UPromise dining is too. I'm signed up for one of them, can't remember which. And when you sign up for one, you can't sign up for another. It is free. I don't eat at any of the restaurants, so I haven't gotten anything out of it. But if you eat at any of those places, go for it.

You do have to register your credit card, but that's so they can track that you've eaten at the restaurant, otherwise they have no way of knowing. They never charge you anything.

I know my brother signed up through UPromise and I can only assume that he got the money deposited in his account the one time he ate at a participating restaurant.
