My points - bonus points?

Hi, does anyone know why I have received extra points the last two days from my points? Yesterday they sent me an email saying that I received 80 points and today 355 points. I'm sikked but not sure why I am getting these. do you think it is that daily spin and the drawing that we are put in because of that? I just want to know what I am doing so I can keep doing it!

Go to your account and check your points and pending points. I have gotten 2 of those 2-mails, turns out they were from redeeming coupons and buying something on e-bay. So, they were points I had earned anyway.

I got an email yesterday saying I had recieved 100 points. I was also curious, went to my account and it was for the toolbar i downloaded the week before, i don't think the emails are for bonus points just letting you know they showed up on your account.

Mypoints has started sending out emails when you make a purchase or earn points for things other than the regular click throughs and surveys.

On the same topic (sort of)... when I look at account activity and the bonusmail clickthrus I have done, there are a lot that don't have any points next to them, and yet, there are other bonusmail clickthrus that have the +5 points next to them... are there certain ones that only give the points??

Only the ones that say 5 points at the top of the message actually give you points. More and more don't give you that free five points,

To the PP who mentioned that some emails don't give the 5 points: I don't click through on those. I noticed a lot more of them lately

I havent won anything on the spin but continue to do it everyday... You just never know... I have won 5 like 3 or 4 times... but as you all know I LOVE mypoints!!!

If it doesn say 5 points I just delete it. No point wasting my time. If I am going to purchase something and the email has a special for points above what is usual I hang on to it and click through then but 9 times out of 10 if I am not going to get points for the click I dont bother to click.

That daily spin thing is driving me crazy. At first I got 5s and once even a 100, but the past few weeks it's all 0's. Frustrating.

I get those emails to occasionaly. I don't know where the points come from, but I'm not complaining!

During one of the first few days, I swear ( and I don't do that) I spun and got the 5,000, but when I went to my account to check, it didn't show up and I didn't get that little message after I spun either. I e-mailed them and I got a response stating that they had changed the "spin now" button to disable after you click it, but that the results of the wheel are chosen by a "random" algorithm. If it is random, then why are we all getting nothing but zeros (with a few exceptions, of course)??!!!
