My POFQ review

Wow!,
Great review! As you can see we dont have much longer to wait until we get there.
A clever name for the slide! Ill have to tell my DGDs, they will get a kick out of the fact that they slid down the tongue of a dracon named "scales"!::yes::

magicmouse2,

Thank you for the review. We visited POFQ a month ago. I agree with everything you said except - Playground excellent.

Our kids 3.9yr and 6.0yr visited the playground several times. In my opinion it was somewhere between fair and woefully lacking. It consisted of one playstation, which would be crowded if more than 5 or 6 kids played at once.

That was probably the only thing about the resort we were disappointed in.

We stayed in building 1 - it was about a 2 minute walk to food court and pool, maybe 3 minutes to the bus stop. Besides the compact size - the peacefulness and quite were big plusses in our opnion.

My kids loved the playstation. I know everyone has different opinions.:D I thought it was located in a good spot near the foodcourt and laundry, and I think it is aimed for younger kids. Older kids would be happier with the playground at Riverside (like my DH on the swings:p )

Its sounds very very nice but better than a deluxe? I'm not convinced. I haven't stayed at the Poly yet but plan on it during my next trip( combined with BCVs). I was originally going to try this resort and I'm sure I will in the future but the rooms are small compared to Poly and the other deluxes and it doesn't have the same amenities. It sounds like a very nice resort if you don't spend a lot of time in the room or are a small party. Thanks for the review:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Hi,

Could you tell me how deep the pool is at the bottom of the slide? I was wondering if it was too deep for my 5 yr old. Do you have anymore to say about the pool?

Thanks,

Will be there June 6th!

Thanks magicmouse2 for your wonderful and descriptive review. As you can see our trip to POFQ will soon be here!!! Yeah!

Your review was right on the money. We just got back from our latest excursion to WDW. This was our first stay at POFQ and I am most certain that it will not be our last. It is our new favorite resort. Everything was wonderful. We stayed in bldg. 5 and it seemed close to everything. I can't express how beautiful this resort is. It is so peaceful and quiet. If you have the opportunity, it is definitely a must!!:jester: I can't wait for our next trip. By the way... we took the carriage ride and really enjoyed it. It begins in Riverside outside Boatrights and winds through Riverside over to FQ and then back to Riverside. Try it!!

What did you think of the bus service???? We will be going in July and I have read several good and several bad postings about the buses. Glad you had fun.

It just makes sense that a deluxe would be bigger and have more amenities though wouldn't it? I mean you pay more for it right?

We were in the resort last week and the bus service was fair. There is a CM who will direct you to the appropriate bus station (depending on which park you are going to); however, there were two days where were waited longer than 15 minutes for an outgoing bus. Coming back to the resort was the issue. We waited longer than 45 minutes for a bus from the Magic Kindgom after Wishes - not a good scene with lots of tired small kids and almost 30 minutes for a AK bus. The buses were also very full (standing room only), so hopefully when you go, more buses will be in service.

It's 3.5 feet at the bottom of the slide. Kids can wear swim vests if they need to-they have them there to use for free. We did this last year. :)

chase121698,

The pool varies from 3'0" to 4'9". As liznboys said the area around the slide is 3'6" - 3'9", and vests are available for anyone who needs one.

Have fun.

Thanks so much for the review!!!

We will be there next week, and it will be our first time staying on the Disney property. After reading your review, now I am even more excited than ever!! :Pinkbounc

Thanks!!!
