For my next trip I am trying something a little different. I used to make one large spreadsheet of my itinerary with confirmation #s, ADR times, and park schedules for our vacation. Then I would make one cad for each day with important ADR info. I got an idea from someone else on this board (CherryLimeade, I think). I bought a cheap plastic photobook for 5x7s. I've decorated the front with Disney stickers and made several pages in the book. Here are my different pages:
1. Resort map
2. Resort confirmation number and phone #
3-8. Park plan for each day with ADRs for that day, park hours, must-do lists
9. CS restaurants at each park that take the dining plan.
10. A checklist to keep track of DDP credits
11.Photography tips to use with my new DSLR camera - because I know I'll forget which settings are recommended for fireworks and safari shots.

I was going to put a list of Pressed-penny machines, but there are just too many. I think I'll put my cell # on the first page in case I lose it.

What else can I put in there?
I'd love to fill it up with useful information to make our trip even more magical!

I know I have something in my binder that I would share, but, for the life of me, I can't remember, maybe that is why I have it written down. If I find it, I will post it..one thing for sure tho, I have ice cream and snack spots listed....never can have too much ice cream:)

I would suggest putting notes in regarding EMH hours and parks. Look them up on line. Are you doing any behind the scenes tours? Include that information. Kim Possible mission? Include that also.

I don't do DDP but I would imagine keeping track of all the points is tricky. Add an envelope to hold all your receipts. You can reco the points at the end of the day.

I bought a small-ish 3 ring notebook (5-7 sized) at a yard sale and used it for my trip. I decorated it and kept all my travel, packing and food lists in it. I also bought a passporter and after reviewing everything there, I tore out the pocketed pages in the back and added those to my book. Each day I wrote down what times of what we did when. It's a great resource when you plan another trip.

And even though I am an uber-planner, I never go by my plans once we arrive. I literally throw all my touring plans out the window and base everything we do upon the weather. If it's hot, we do water parks, if it's cool, we get out early to AK, if it's raining, we put on our ponchos and do Epcot. You get the idea.

I also ascribe to the mantra "Embrace your inner tourist". My kids hate when I act goofy at home but at Disneyworld, they don't seem to mind as much.

Your book is a great idea!

You might want to include copies of your tickets, front and back, just in case you lose them.
