In May, I am going to be going to After Hours in Hollywood Studios with my teen son (he and I have been to HS twice in the last two years) and DH (went a decade ago, never seen Galaxy's Edge, non-crowd, and non-Disney person). We want to show him an awesome, cool, grown up, fun Disney day!
He'll arrive by plane around 12:30 to CBR (son and I will be there a couple days earlier). First plan - resort lunch for him.
I have enough park day tickets to enter HS before the official AH time of 7 pm. My idea was to skip any crowds that might build getting wrist bands, and do non-headliner ride type things until crowds die down. With a non-Disney guy, we aren't interested in kiddie or girlie things (no Frozen show!!). Since we'd only be in the parks a few hours I think I want to bypass G+ that day. My goal is to reduce all wait times (accomplished via AH tickets), and go big on the COOL and WOW factor.

I am thinking of something like the plan below. How does this sound?

3:30 pm - Skyliner to HS
Maybe see Green Army Drum Corp at 4?
4:30 - Indiana Jones show
5 - 6 pm: Star Tours (should be little to no wait I hope!)
Baseline Tap House for one beer
Enter Galaxy's Edge via Grand Avenue - the big reveal!
Walk around and just see GE; my son will use Datapad for interactive stuff; maybe do the Bounty Hunter stuff with MB+.
Dinner at Docking Bay 7.
Oga's around 8 pm - hoping to leave Oga's into a nighttime Galaxy's Edge!
By 8-9 pm, standard crowds will hopefully start to filter out. Maybe go watch the animation show on the Chinese Theater?
Start hitting rides with the low AH crowds: MMRR, Toy Story rides (Slinky and likely TSM a couple times so we can compete!); RoR and Smuggler's Run. ToT on our way out of the park.
Sadly, I am assuming RoRC will still be down at that time - a big bummer for us.

Why will RoRC be down?

Well, RoRC is down now, with an extended refurbishment into "summer 2024". I don't know what that means but I was thinking it would reopen more in the June/July time frame?
