My pinky finger hurts!

It woke me up during the night when I tried to bend it and this numbing pain was there. I did not do anything to it ! I can't type with it right now, feels kind of like hitting your funny bone.

I have psuedogout, and get inflammed fingers once in awhile from it. Is it the whole finger or just a joint?

It is just the left pinky finger. The tip is numbish, and it hurts when I bend it below the base into the hand. Is that a nerve thing dianeschlicht? I was sleeping on that arm when it woke me up.
