Hi Gang. As many of you know Walt Disney World's Space Mountain is Closing for refurbishment in April. I will always remember my greatest memories of riding Space Mountain. The first time I rode Space Mountain was back in 1981 , My first time at Walt Disney World. I was scared to death of Space Mountain until I sat in the Car. It was a different ride that im use to. In the 7 times (1981,1988,1994,1998,2000,2004) I have been to Walt Disney World I have had a different Space Mountain Experience, For example in 2000 & 2004 I was riding the TTA (Tomorrowland Transit Authority) through Space Mountain. While riding through Space Mountain I noticed that the lifthill was brighter than it usaly is durring operation. As the TTA arrived into the main part of Space Mountain The lights around the track were on because Space Mountain broke down. I was quite amaized who Disney was able to put A Roller Coaster inside a 180 foot tall, 300 foot diameter Building. I am looking forward to seeing the new improved Space mountain next summer. I will be keeping up with the progress of the Refurbishment of Space Mountain. A true Disney Icon
