I was just about to call my dad to tell him the picture of the house was messed up on the web site. He told me they accepted an offer from a couple that came to look at it this afternoon. I can't believe it sold this fast. They haven't even broke ground yet on the new house. I am so happy for them.

The roof top looks realy nice...... I thought I sold my house fast. I didn't get a chance to list it at all. A young man (friend of a friend of a friend who heard we were moving) was already approved and walked in and said he wanted it. Didn't offer less then our asking price.

Not to hijack the thread here, but this lady was at our garage sale and commented on how she always admired our house.
I replied that we were looking to build soon. She said "I'll buy your house right here and now!" We put her off for a few months, but she called weekly to see if we were ready yet. She paid our full asking price.

My mom sold her's the same day the sign went up. The agent put out the sign and hadn't even listed it in the MLS yet when people came to look at a house that was for sale at the end of her block. They saw my mom's sign and knocked on the door with their agent. She let them look around and they went back to the office and drew up an offer for more than she was asking. She had accepted it by the end of the business day.

A couple here in Calgary sold their house this week in an auction, 5 minutes! They got $7000 less than their asking price but said they have no regrets. The auctioneer got lots more requests to sell other houses too!

Same thing happend to my DH and I. Except they were driving buy and saw the sign go up. Came 1 hr later and gave us full asking price on the spot. That was really cool !!!!

Our condo sold on the first day for MORE than asking price but my folks did one better.

Their house sold and it was not even on the market...Some guys was looking for a house, saw my parents and asked if he could look around...Dad said, sure, like this guy could ever offer me what I want for it...4 hours later...It was sold and my MOM only found out after the fact...

Its great to read about everyones quick sales too. I just wish when I sold mine it sold as fast.

They were priced alittle low because house aren't moving in there town right now because of the schools.

We have to update and sell my in-laws house soon, I hope we have even the tiniest bit of luck that all of you guys' have had!
