My parcel got delivered!

To a phantom person :( I've waited three weeks for this import and now someone else has it! I've complained to FedEx and they'll be in contact tomorrow.
I worry every single time that I am having a package delivered that it will go astray. Hopefully it was delivered to an honest person who will do their part to get it back to you. I know I would never keep a package addressed to another person.

I have decided to use USPS because the Main Branch location is closer to my neighborhood .
UPS and FedEx are usually far away if you have to sign for something or show I.d.
And if you report Never received/ Lost too many times , they will require a signature or somebody be home .

I had several packages delivered to us before Christmas that were addressed to 2 different people & we had no idea who they were. The first few came from Amazon, we were out of town at the time. My daughter stopped at our house & found 1 on our porch, she never even looked at the name, just stuck it inside. We found another there the night we got home. Another was delivered with our held mail. The next day, I tried to find anyone by those names in our neighbor hood or town, so I could bring them their packages. My DIL, neighbor & I all tried in fact. We couldn’t even find anyone by those names in our state. I called Amazon, expecting they would come pick them up. The agent checked into it, said the orders were incorrectly associated with our address. Told me to keep or donate the items, they would not pick them up & we should not return them. I reinforced I would be happy if they would come pick them up but was told no again, keep, donate or toss out. Another package addressed to 1 of the same people was delivered a few days later via USPS. That 1 I put back in the box labeled No Such Person At This Address. I assume it was associated with the same Amazon order but was just delivered by the Post Office.

Just because someone else got your package, doesn’t mean they didn’t try to do the right thing to get it to you or return it.

A friend sent in a sample to a medical lab that UPS lost. She didn't know it hadn't arrived until her Doctor's office called to ask why she hadn't done her lab work yet. It was a 24 hour urine collection in a gallon jug in a box. Amazingly it turned up once UPS found out what it was.

Fedex seems to like letting just any random person sign and consider it delivered..... A couple years ago I had a package 'delivered' that wasn't out on my doorstep when I got home. A person I whose name I didn't recognize had signed for it. Was able to eventually figure out it was my crazy neighbor several doors down, who had exited her apartment, walked over to the delivery guy, offered to sign it and he gave her my package and she took it back to her apartment without leaving any type of note. When I called Fedex trying to figure out what happened, they informed me that they 'couldn't do anything because the package was signed for and 'delivered'..." I was furious - this person was obviously not from my residence, so I'm really not sure why Fedex considers that delivered. I was eventually able to get the package back from the neighbor, but she should never have been allowed to sign and walk off with it.

OP, I hope you are able to figure out what happened to your package. Fedex should not be letting random people sign that aren't you, and that didn't come out of your residence.

Also - be aware there are "scams" where random packages from Amazon are sent to random addresses - so tahat may have been why you could not track them down.

So what is the scam? They write fake reviews for the shipped items and the reviews are shown as verified purchase.
Form some companies its well worth it to get a good review. Also sometimes they send out some cheap item and then update the listing to a different item and still have a 5 star review posted.

Recently, I purchased an inexpensive vacuum sealer. Was not happy with it, wrote a bad review and was going to return it. They told me to keep it and they sent me the top of the line model that costs twice as much and was far superior.
Of course I updated the review, question is how many of those 4 or 5 star reviews are like that.
So for the cost of the cheap one, I got the top of the line, kept the cheap one and they got a good review.
