:hourglass So Hi everyone! To begin with my list of travelers is very short.
Me: Kim, Disney fan just since the late 80's (very sheltered upbringing)
Husband: Rodney, went to the Dis as a child in the 70's

Well needless to say( although I am) the beginning of our trip THE AIRPORT is always an excercise in futility, frustration and just a twinge of yes, I'll say it FEAR. I find the airport an interesting place and could happily spend a whole day in Charlotte or Orlando just shopping given the chance. But, the fear of being searched or having an unknown to me unallowable item in my luggage chills me to the bone effectively wiping out most of the pleasure this part of the trip could inspire.
Arrival in ORLANDO is the best. This is where the anticipation, excitement really starts for me. We find our town car driver from Murray Hill and load in the luggage and we are on our way to our grocery stop and Fort Wilderness Cabins.Let me say here that although the people from Murray Hill have always been Super nice I always find that I'm not satisfied with the service we receive for the price we pay.
Last year we paid for a Town Car and the nice driver tried to get us to ride in a van with some other travelers. Now I don't have a problem with this per say but if I paid for a Town Car then a town car it must be for me. And again this year on the trip back to the airport the driver shows up in a van when we again have paid for a town car. Needing to get to the airport we accepted this but, have decided to try a different car service next year.
So onto the cabins after the grocery stop to pick up my Fruit2o and Pepsi which you cannot get sadly in WDW.
The cabins are great! Laid back extra room, good size bath, fridge and blessed quiet for couples like us who have no kiddies and appreciate the space to relax. My only beef with the Fort at all is the bus system which can eat up so much of your time. We have also decided this year to go back to Hotel Royal Plaza because we so enjoy the close walk to DTD and love the executive king room that's just perfect for us.
I won't give you a play by play of the parks, most of you know what's there and how to enjoy that.
My fav's this year:
The Christmas decorations
Soarin is FAB U LOUS fun
RnR,TOT,Space Mountain,COP Yeah!!!!!
The Motor car show was great for my Husband, I just didn't appreciate it fully I'm sure.
Stitch well, I can only say I miss the Alien Encounter
DTD,Basin,RFC always fun
California Grill in the Contemporary DH fav every year
BTW what happened to the birds that used to fly around Rays Starlight Cafe?? No birds, no where during our stay here.
Epcot as always I love it! Ellens universe and Space Ship Earth ahhh great!
So, here it is not fancy or witty just the facts sir!
Bottom line is LOVE it going back!
Thanks for your time :surfweb:
