The meal plan is Fabulous!!!
The only drawback is that you will be full the entire trip! Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is bad-you decide. Sometimes we just ate because we had meals, but we weren't really hungry. Our big bellies are paying for it now!!
It was so funny because I worked so hard to get a nice belly in a bikini and by the end of our trip my belly was so full it didn't look nice anymore. We called it the disney dining belly!
But, it was great. We both like to eat, so we aren't complaining too much!
We had one problem that we are glad we caught. You need to pay attention and know what you are supposed to get with each meal. Some cast members will tell you while others will not. Jon went to get a coffee one morning thinking that it would count as one of the snacks and we didn't realize until later that day that the coffee counted as a counter service meal. We went to the front desk and they fixed it for us. The problem was that coffee is not included as a snack so it was charged to the next available meal. they just charged the coffee to our room and opened up the counter service.
We learned how to use the dining to our needs. you get so much food with each counter service so we would get sides and if we couldn't eat them, we would just take them to our room and put them in our fridge. It was nice. especially when you had lots of desserts waiting for you in the room!
After we looked back however, we both commented that we might not have been so full if we would have bought every meal ourselves. Our family and friends bought four meals for us so we had to make up for it other days. We wanted to use up the meals since we paid for them.
