Thought you would all like to know how it was, I'll post you some pix as soon as I find my card reader.
The Good:
- "The Princess and the Frog" might end up being pretty good! We got to watch the first half hour. I wasn't so sure at first, felt like the whole African-American princess was just going to be some pc stunt, but the character is not your typical Disney Princess. The animation is gorgeous.
- Seeing Betty White and Robin Williams receive their Legends awards.
- Getting lots of free Disney Swag.
The Not so Good:
- No pictures in the Disney archives room, and mostly only impressed by seeing the outfit Julie Andrews wore in Mary Poppins and the storybook from the beginning of Sleeping Beauty, too much of the stuff in the room was too new for my taste. Like I really don't care to see a wall dedicated to outfits from High School Musical, also I felt like the exhibit could have been much bigger.
- I did not like Beauty and the Beast in 3D. The characters felt too boldly outlined for my taste, and I feel like it loses some of the beauty of 2D animation. I'll probably still watch it though
- I feel like one day was enough for me, and while there were a few things I'd like to see on the days to come, I don't feel like paying that much money for just a few points of interest.
Overall I had a great day though, and got to make a quick venture into Disneyland! I left the husband at home because I told him I didn't want to worry about him leaving when I seriously could spend all day looking at the same things.
