We just got back from a 7 night trip and wanted to pass some things along about our experience on free DDP. At both Yachtsman Steakhouse and California Grill we ordered a cheese plate as an appetizer with our wine. Both times when we gave them our card the bill came back with just our wine. Even the servers were surprised that it came off the bill as an extra dessert. We didn't complain at all, it was a nice surprise.
All in all, DDP is way to much food. We would never eat that much on a normal trip. Usually we do a snack and a CS and maybe one or two TS while at Disney. We definitely would not pay for it, but only utilized it this time because it was free and it allowed us to try some restaurants we normally would not have tried.
