So, now that the trip is just around the corner (Next Month!!!), I am starting to get excited...hours are up and posted, character dining reservation was made long ago...Wondering what y'all think of this plan:
Background: Daughter is 2 - will be 3 in December. My husband and I are bringing her by ourselves (instead of with more family and aunts and uncles), as we just want to do this trip with her, at her speed, and enjoy the magic. She is not tall enough for any of the height restricted rides and LOVES characters, so I am hoping for lots of opportunities to meet characters. She loves Pixar stuff, so I know one full day will be at DCA as well, which is great because I like DCA.
Anyway - we arrive Saturday at noon. Plan is to check into hotel (The Anabella), and walk to the parks. We have a ticket for this day. Plan is to kind of get our bearings, walk around, go on rides with a short wait, eat when we are hungry - lots of snacks and counter service - head back to hotel early for early bed time, as we will have been traveling most of the day.
Sunday - Arrive at DL for rope drop. park opens at 8:00am. Get there early, and go straight to Frozen. I was actually hoping to skip this, but grandma lets her watch it every day, so I know she will love it
After Frozen fast pass maybe hit up toon town hoping to see some characters??? Thoughts on this?? Or try to ride some rides that get crowded later - Dumbo, Storybook...what else??
Monday - We have character breakfast at PCH at 7:30am. DCA opens at 9:00...I'd like to be at DCA for rope drop and do Toy Story MM a few times if we can. Possibly have husband and I to the Radiator Springs Raceway thing (we haven't been to DCA since cars land opened)...spend most of the day at DCA, lunch at Cove Bar, and make sure to catch the Pixar Parade at 5:45.
The one thing I'm not so sure about is naps. I'm hoping she will nap in her stroller (We are bringing our BOB for convenience), but if we need to go back to the hotel we will. And I"m also ok with being out of the parks at 8:00pm and to bed early, as we are all morning people anyway.
Other than the character breakfast we aren't really dead set on restaurants. We are mostly excited about corn dogs, churros, dole whip, and a turkey leg!
Any advice would be great. Daughter is sort of potty training, so I plan on diapers to make things easier...and of course outfits were planned long ago
I'm getting sooooo excited!!!!
