Sister is taking her to dr. now. She is 15. Hoping it's just low blood sugar or something benign like that. Her friend has mono, but she doesn't seem to have symptoms of that. Thank God she didn't hit her head, just a little bump by eye.
Hope she is doing ok. My DD fainted like that when she was about 13. She had just been standing in the bathroom fixing her hair. The doctor said it wasn't that unusual for teenage girls, especially around that certain time of the month. Scared the heck out of me, though!!
Some years ago, my DH passed out while urinating in our bathroom. He was standing, and fell and hit his head. Our DD as only a baby at the time, and I put her back in her crib, and ran into the bathroom, to find him on the floor with his head between the toilet and the wall.
When I lifted his head up and he began to come out of it, I noticed the blood streaming down the back of his head! The neighbor came and watched our DD while I took him to the ER. He received several stitches.
The doctor said that when men urinate first thing in the morning, they should ALWAYS sit down on the toilet to do so, as the release of fluids sometimes causes you to black out.
We can laugh at it now and lightly refer to the incident as the time he "p*ssed" out instead of "passed" out!
I was not aware of how common it is for young teen girls to pass out until recently. I have heard this type of story so many times lately. Hope she is doing well and her bump will heal soon!
I passed out a few times when I was a teen.
It would only happen when I was hot. Twice while waiting outside my classroom on really hot Florida days and once walking around Boston on a hot Boston day.
The doctor said I had low blood pressure and being hot made it drop even lower.
It hasn't happened since I grew up!
