my next incentive - what size do misses begin and juniors stop?

Just bought a size 11 JUNIORS jean shorts - wowser are they short!

These jean shorts do fit comfortably - they are just much shorter than what Im use to

Misses actually start at 2 and run up to 16 or so --- even numbers. They are more generously cut than jr size items --- fuller thru the hips, etc. Juniors are the odd number sizes. So an 11 Juniors may fit similar to a 10 misses.

I thought juniors had size 13 and 15 also.

Some places carry juniors in 15 and 17 (believe me, because I tried to shove my rear into a 17 the other day). I think alot of stores only carry through 13 though. Funny, I couldn't fit into a 17 in juniors, I ended up with a size 12 in misses.

Juniors will be a little wider through the waist and narrower through the hips and thighs. Misses has a more tapered waist and curve through the hip and thighs. If I recall my training right it is the transition as women's shapes change to more of an hourglass figure... Since everyone has a slightly different shape it helps to know which is your best fit. The best demonstration I can think of is many of my jeans when I used to buy juniors sizes (before I realized a difference) hung open at my waist, especially in my back, but were often snug in my legs. Once I tried on even sized jeans I didn't have that problem.
