I keep trying to tell myself that Diane!! That's mostly why I've left her alone. She's on the porch, so hopefully she's keeping the flies and mosquitos out of the house.

Diane - I def. agree about the bats, but that is because I like bats. I don't like spiders tho I understand your point.

Please, please oh please someone tell me you don't get those wolf spider things over here in the UK!!! I don't think I could live with that idea! It actually makes me wonder why I'm scared of the ones we get here if there are spiders like that crawling around somewhere - HELP!

LOL, I just came in from the kennel, and there was one that looks much like yours sitting in his web. He had the yellow stripes and everything! He didn't have any "saved" dinners, so I assume he is well fed!
