Okay, so this is my new kitten. His name is Mew ^.^ . Here's Mew's story:
I volunteer at a living history museum, it's mainly a collection of historic buildings furnished with period furniture and stuff. Anyway, I was at a training session and when it was over I went outside and my parents were sitting down waiting for me.. And my dad was holding a tiny little kitten! Well, my parents had come up the sidewalk and saw him sitting on the concrete in the drizzling rain screaming. He ran away when my dad tried to get him, and my dad had to go through some bushes, but he got him... There IS a large feral cat colony that lives there, and we figure that he was a feral kitten. He was extremely weak and bony, obviously starved.
We took him to the vet the next day, and he has a bruise on his tummy (he was either kicked, dropped, or he could've fallen), he's anemic, he had fleas and worms. He was negative for feline aids and leukemia =]. He's 4-6 weeks old and weighed 17 ounces.
Well, Mew's adjusted very well to life here. He's been eating lots and using the litter box regularly (it took almost no time to train him), although for some reason he thinks that litter is a tasty snack... He loves to cuddle on laps and race through the house, and climbs the furniture too! He's gotten so much more active and kitten-like since we got him less than a week ago. He's gained weight, too.
Mew likes feather toys, chasing his tail, being on tall things, and he likes to try to eat people food (we think that his mommy probably fed him garbage =[ ). He'll try to eat anything on your plate. One thing we have fed him is a bit of blueberry muffin - He LOVES blueberry muffins.
Wow. That was long and rambly. Sorry =]. Here are the pics!
