He is adorable! My uncle has a white great dane. This dog is HUGE! My uncle will turn on the water in the kitchen sink and this horse as we call him will drink right out of it. He doesn't even have to reach for it. His vet has a few great danes and the vet said that this dog is one of the biggest he has ever seen.

He is so darn handsome!! I've been wanting a Great Dane for quite some time, either a fawn or mantle. My gf has a harelequin, and she is beautiful too. My dh won't let me have one because he thinks they're too big, their poops will be the size of footballs, and that they eat too much. I've tried to convince him otherwise, but so far he isn't budging.

What a beautiful boy!

We had a black and white spotted one in my old neighborhood that used to walk his owner every single day down our street. I remember commenting to the owner one day, that I didn't see how that dog didn't dust the tables and take out everything on them! He told me that he had never broken a thing and that he was very gentle.

The comment about the GD drinking out of the kitchen faucet brought a big smile to my face. I have a 110lb Golden Retriever (yes, I know - she's a mutant) and she sits her head on the side of my tub, so that she can drink out of the tub faucet.

I think he is actually growing as we watch him. In the 2 weeks we have had him, he has gained a bit more than 10 pounds. I, on the other hand, have only gained 6 lbs. over the holiday .

BTW: His name, Brutus, comes from an old Disney movie "The Ugly Daschund".
