We just got back from our first stay at the Fort and I loved it. Animal Kingdom Lodge and Port Orleans Riverside have been my favorites. I did not expect to like the fort so much, can't wait to take my kids and grandkids there.
We had a great site in the 300 loop and were very close to the comfort station and the bus stop.
We used the buses and boat for transportation and had good luck and quick times all but the last day. We did not rent a cart and did fine. We went to the marina and watched the fireworks several times, rented the little boats, swam in the Meadows pool, rode our new bikes (a little scary since we haven't been on a bike in at least 40 years, no you do not forget but we were shaky) I think I will save up and get a three wheeler

Went and got take out chicken the first night from I think it was Trails End, even though I read good reviews ours was very dry and not good. On the other hand we tried 50's Prime Time chicken for the first time and it was outstanding.
We arrived on the Oct. 7th, had some of the worst rain I have ever seen in Atlanta on the way down, but after a few sprinkles on the 7th at the Fort no rain, great weather.
I like most of the changes in the parks, except I think that Main Street Bakery is not so special anymore and the pastry shop in Epcot/French Pavilion looks nice but the quality of the pastries has gone down.
Overall it was a great experience as we celebrated our 40th anniversary. We liked it so much we are thinking of buying a bigger RV. I now know why so many people love staying at the fort.
