We had a different dishwasher before and the part where you put the silverwear was in the middle of the bottom tray. The silverwear always got clean. Now we have a new dishwasher and the silverwear goes on the door of the dishwasher. I have been noticing it doesn't always get completely clean and I end up rewashing them. The dishes however always get clean. So I think it's just the silverwear being on the door. I thought in the beginning that maybe I was filling it too full so I filled it less full but it still happens. Like I said the dishes always get very clean just not the silverwear in the door. If you have he kind of dishwasher where the silverwear goes in the door, do you find that it doesn't always all get completely clean? Or is it just mine and we need to get a different one.

They never get clean. You have to pretty much wash them before you put them in the door, at least in my experience.

Our old dishwasher was like that but there was also a way to hook the basket onto the bottom section. Maybe check and see if yours has that option also.

Thank you.
I can't figure out how to put the silverwear in the middle on the bottom. it looks complicated. Ill ask my husband to help me with it tomorrow.
Hopefully that will make it better.

Our door basket didn't go into the middle of the bottom but hooked onto the front of the bottom drawer.

Oh, well I will try that then. I couldn't get the basket thingy to stand up in the middle, it kept falling over. I was going to ask my husband to fix it for me tomorrow but since you said that first I will go try that- seeing if I can hang it from the tray. Do you mean it would hook to the inside or the outside of the bottom tray? Because if i hook it on the outside of the tray I don't think the dishwasher door will close.

I love my new dishwasher. It seems to clean anything. My 15yo son loads it and the dishes are always clean; so is the silverware.

We recently bought a dishwasher that had the silverware basket on the door, and the silverware was coming out spotty. My DH saved the basket from our old dishwasher, so he just uses that in the new one.

You must place them in with the business end of the utensil up.

We had a dishwasher with the utensils in the door and our utensils got clean without issue--unless we put them in business end down. I believe it was stated in the directions.

We use the Finish tablets as well. Never had an issue.:confused3

Also--since we didn't read ALL the directions, I should share that the basket does come out and then you can fully open the "Front" of the basket (that is really the "top" when the door is down). I too wondered how in the world you could do everything---and realized that the basket has a "door" of its own. There should be holes in the back of the basket that will align with--"things" (not sure what to call them) on the door.

My dishwasher cleans without pre-washing. I've got an oatmeal bowl in there from yesterday morning. I use the timer so it will run tonight and come out clean.

I've never had a problem with silverware either. My basket in on the right side of the bottom rack. Before we bought this dishwasher, I did a little research. It seemed that most models with the silverware in the door had complaints about it not coming clean.

Thank you all. I couldn't seem to hook it to the bottom tray properly, I asked hubby to do it for me and he got it right in in a snap. Yay! Hopefully now the silverwear will be clean.

Our dishwasher is also set up this way with the silverware on the door.
I just take the basket the silverware goes in and place it between the "spokes" on the bottom rack on the left side. Works great! The basket fits perfectly and the silverware always gets clean!
