Thanks! A few years ago my husband got me a build-a-bear for Christmas just for fun. Of course he got me a cow and put a Cinderella dress on her. A Disney cow,what more could I want? The name just seemed to fit!

There was an article a number of years ago about a dairy farmer. He would talk to,pamper and groom them. One day a pack of wild dogs cornered him and were about to attack him. The cows saved him by surrounding him. Sometimes you have to wonder what they are thinking.

There are a lot of dairy farms in PA, MD & VA. There used to be a TON more but in the last few years many of the independent family farms have gone out of business. It's very say. This whole area around DC is getting more and more developed. Many of our friends are doing other things now to try and make a living. Dairy farming is a very difficult business.

edit: When I first moved here from CA, I had to look at a US map to see where Maryland was! How sad is that???
