Ok I have just spent over an hour reading all 34 pages of this thread.

3. I am now missing Krispy Kreme more than ever. We used to have one near by and they had the audacity to close in the middle of my pregnancy when the BABY was NEEDING kk donuts on a regular basis. I couldn't do Dunkin Donuts they made me sick to my stomach.
4. I'd be happy to join the block party BBQ. DH is a great griller. And I'd love a strawberry margarita.

OP hope you are alright. There are a lot of people here on the DIS worried about you. Can someone else post for you? Even if it's just to let us all know that you are OK.

Colleen- Our Schlotzkies deli closed when I was 8 months. I was craving a sandwich from there EVERY WEEK. I send DH out and he calls and says "Um..it's closed" "UHH that is NOT funny, get me my sandwich and come home" (He's a kidder and it's annoying ) "No. seriously. I am concerned too. I have been concerned about her since she disappeared. Her health isn't god either, I remember her posting about having Lupus and that it was flaring up.

This is so not cool. Something is not right.

Either she:

1. Has had her internet cut off.
2. Has vanished.
3. Has chosen not to respond.

I would hate to think that any of those options are the case, but how else does a person disappear for over a month with no response to their own thread?

You may have missed the post where she said she has Lupus. With a flare you can be bedridden for several months. She is a long time DISer and I do not believe she has just vanished and won't come back. I think she is sick and is resting.

The fourth option is she is really sick. She said she suffers from Lupus, so I think we're all assuming that's the issue.

I'm def hoping that she's recovering if that's the case. Lupus sounds awful. my nighttime 'wondering' has shifted from the weird case to her.

Unfortunately, my sister also suffers from systemic lupus, and as she gets older, the flareups are occurring less frequently, but much more severely.

Lupus is a horrible debilitating disease. When my sister was younger, her boss and co-workers treated her like she was a liar and would give her snide comments about 'wanting to take a week off of work, too'.

For those who don't know about it, you should look it up. There is no cure and it is a very horrible horrible disease. This way if you wind up knowing someone with lupus and you hear snide comments behind the sufferer's back, you can speak up on behalf of the poor victim. Thank God my sister has found an awesome boss who understands what is going on.
