I don't mean to play Debbie Downer, but I'm increasingly feeling that this thread is not going to meet the "Rear Window" expectations we all dream of. The lack of updates from the OP doesn't bode well - I'm sure if the situation had evolved in any substantive way she'd be here in a nanosecond to report it.

Darn it! I thought I was going to have a "watch" of my own tonight! It would have been the Case of the Missing Tomato's!

I have tomato plants growing in pots on the deck. Monday night when I checked them they each had a nearly ripe tomato on them. Tonight I went to check on them again and they were gone! I thought I was going to have to have a hissy fit and go knocking on doors telling people to give them up or else, but alas they both developed rotten spots on them. My DM checked them this morning and had to pick them and throw them out.

One of his suggestions:
Maybe you can be like Mission:Impossible and go through the neighbor's trash early early in the morning on garbage day and look for the used white paper bags?

my suggestion also.
that many white bags have to find their way into the garbage unless they are burned ( or eaten,,,lol)

So, while we're waiting for the OP hug: ) - does anyone have any mysterious neighbor stories?

The cops pulled up to one of our neighbors houses (2 doors down - 2 days ago) and was there forever, and by the time I looked out again - was giving a white paper to the homeowner. My next door neighbor, who saw it too, said she's gonna find out what happened in case it was an incident report and something was stolen.


Anyone else?
