Yup, I'm definitely living at home for at least the first year. I applied to two schools; Rhode Island College and the University of Rhode Island. My first choice is RIC. It's only about 20 minutes away and it's a lot smaller than URI. I've never seen the campus, but I have seen the URI campus and it's very big and very confusing and there's almost no parking. And RIC is just an all around better school in my opinion.

I had a huge application scare last week. My guidance counselor was pregnant and her due date was next week, but apparently the baby came early I had no idea until I emailed her asking a question about my applications last week and got an automatic out of office response. Thankfully, she responded(even though she said she probably would check email until she came back) and said she had taken care of my transcript and everything she had to do the week before so I was all set. I was freaking out until I got that email

Are you planning a parade meet that night? We're planning to be there for the parade that night too. We'll have to leave pretty quick after because we have an 8:10 Chef Mickey's reservation, but that's probably our only night to see the parade so we'll be there.

You will appreciate Connor's latest comment. Last night there was a centipede-like bug in the living room. Connor came to find me and said, "You have to take him to a better place," and then realizing what I normally do to bugs, he added, "And by better place, I don't mean kill it."

I tell the kids at school the same thing. Any time they see a bug in the room (any kind!) their first response is to race each other to kill it. If I get to them before the death occurs, I get it on a piece of paper and throw it out the back door.

Taking a ride with Figment and your girls was a great way to start the day!

We've been snowed in for the past 2 days and I am positively antsy to get to work today! I would surely have gone crazy with 9 snow days! I don't know how you handled that.

I won't do updates from the boat on my phone, but I might buy some Internet time & update Facebook & the Dis.

I thought of the person who hit them, too. I know a kid who went to school with my kids, and he was in a drunk driving accident. He hit another car, and it killed a passenger. He had to serve time and will be on probation for sixteen years, but he has to live with the fact that he changed another family forever for the rest of his life. That is a very haunting thought. The bad thing about that wreck is that the girl who died had also been out drinking, so that wreck could have very well gone the other way. If they had both been at home by midnight (I always tell my kids that nothing good happens after midnight!) that never would have happened for either of them.

I am so excited about Flower and Garden, too! I hope opening day is the most beautiful morning ever! I don't really have favorites. I like to see the butterfly garden, and the featured topiaries are always cool, no matter which movie they are showcasing. I just love the atmosphere and the warmth and the pretty colors. I wish we could spend the whole day, but we can't.

I looked in his throat tonight, and I could see an ever so slight difference, I think. Either that, or I am just not in shock looking at it the second time.

Our DIS friend, Glenda, lost her mom today. I know some of you had the privilege of meeting her. I know she was a godly woman and a loving mother. Please keep Glenda and her family in your thoughts and prayers. I know she is glad that her mother has gone on to better things, but I also know she is going to miss her 'mommy' and friend, too.
