My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

Hannah is in love with your Pop. We looked at lots of pics today. The kids don't know we are flying instead of driving, hence needing a night at Pop now. We booked it today!

How does the night of the 26th sound for all of you guys who are going to be there? That'll be our travel day, so an early night leaving the parks and going back to the room will be good for us. We can meet at a central location, or you can all come over to Pop, or DTD, or just whatever works for the majority. It might be best to plan on meeting at a resort or outside a park.

It would depend on the time. That's the only night we can see the Main Street Electrical Parade(I've never seen it, and it may be gone before I go back) which is at 7:00 and we have Chef Mickey's right after that at 8:10.

Trip news sounds good. It's always good adding a trip!
Isn't that just the way, someone has to go and get married and ruin your disney fun!:rotfl2:

Oh and no, no fireplace on the fateful 6 days before xmas with out power. We hooked up a generator to keep the fridge, freezer and my little room of wrapping going. Everyone had a generator going. it was the quietest and loudest 6 days ever!!!

Still enjoying it, as usual.....:thumbsup2

I love that hat. I had not seen that before.
As for the figures, they are so small that maybe they are easy to misplace?

I may be there until Oct 2 or 3rd if I do my now annual go before the annual conference trip. The 5k ??? HMMMMMM Maybe. That would be great if I could see you then. Free Dining??? I may need to take care of that sooner rather than later.

I am listening to the boats come in and out of the Poly and the seven seas lagoon tonight. I can even hear the train whistle. ( or I think I can )

I hope your October trip (and ours) works out. :thumbsup2

The Poly beach webcam is always a treat. I have heard the boat whistles, the castle show, and the sound of the water lapping up on the shore. Brooklynn and I watched the EWP night before last, and I watched Wishes both nights.

We'll be there the 28th to the 6th, also at Pop.

So it looks like I'll miss you at the big meet. But I'm sure I can manage to find you at Pop one day!

We'll make the big meet the 28th or 1st, then, if possible. If not, we will definitely see you at Pop. :thumbsup2

All caught up. Yay you are on to Oct!!! Speaking of oct-we will also be ther for MK's bday. Some Dis friends and I are running the 5k. I so hope you guys will also be there!! Sounds like you had a fun family holiday!!

All of our little girls would get a chance to meet. :dance3:
That would be fun! I'm liking the idea of shortening the summer and adding October more and more all the time. :)

I'm so glad she likes it. You may not have pool time scheduled for just a short stay, but if you do, they will like it. So will you, because there is no climbing in and out and no ladder or step of any kind. Just walk-in all the way around.

It would depend on the time. That's the only night we can see the Main Street Electrical Parade(I've never seen it, and it may be gone before I go back) which is at 7:00 and we have Chef Mickey's right after that at 8:10.

I think we'll work on making it the 28th or 1st so Julie can be there. We will have to talk with the others, too.

Well, if we are taking away days from a trip, we sure better be compensating ourselves with adding days somewhere else!

I am sure your 'no electricity' experience is one I never want to have.

Everyone who is going to be in WDW in February/March -
What do your plans look like for the 28th and the 1st?
I think Sunday is the only day that has Fantasmic while we are there, so we planned our schedule, if I recall correctly, like this:

Saturday (26) - arrive around early lunchtime, go to Magic Kingdom
Sunday (27) - Hollywood Studios
Monday (28) - Animal Kingdom
Tuesday (1) - Magic Kingdom
Wednesday (2) - Epcot until we have to go back for UnMagical Express

We are doing regular tickets, no hoppers this time, so we can't change parks. I don't want to plan anything for the 2nd, because that is opening day of Flower & Garden, our only day at Epcot, and only a partial day, so we will be on a mission that day. Monday evening, the 28th, could be a good time for us, as Animal Kingdom closes fairly early. We could all meet at AKL for zebra domes and a walk around the savannah. We could meet in DTD or at Poly for fireworks. Depending on the weather, Pop's kiddie pool is a great place to sit around at tables and talk while the kids run free and safe, since they are right there and there is only the one in/out path. You guys can throw out ideas and we'll see what works best for everyone.

I'm with Jen -- that Haunted Mansion CD looks really neat!

Being in the MK on its fortieth birthday would be so cool! Speaking of, I wonder what kind of 40th anniversary stuff they will have this year! Hope it isn't all sold out by the time we get there in May!

Okay, spill the beans -- I want the story about the "trouble."

Hello MeMom! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. :goodvibes

Yay for adding another trip in October! :cool1:

I can't wait to check out Pop in less than two weeks now! My first time ever to any of the value resorts.

Happy New Year, everyone! :flower3:

If I remember correctly, didn't a certain Memom try to take something without paying.;) I can't wait to hear the story!

All caught up. I want to know what kind of "trouble" you got in Memom.

Also I wanted to say that if anyone wants a postcard from Disney let me know. We are headed down on Feb 1 and will be there until Feb 16. If there is anything you want me to look for you can let me know that too. We are staying at Pop. I am so excited. Lexi knows we are going on vacation but she doesn't know where we are going. She knows we have to fly to get there. I am making my countdown paper chain today.

By Monday evening I'll be home, but we'll be in MK at least part of the day on the 26th and we might be in DHS park of the day on the 27th. The 27th is pretty much wide open for me except for lunch at the Crystal Palace at 12:45.

Hey, just checking in. All this talk of trip planning is getting me bummed. I am glad you may get to go in October. I want to do a fall trip and had thought about the end of september. That has to coincide with football schedule though. There is a conference at GF during Cooper's spring break. It would be perfect and I could pay through work.:cool1: I do not know if my hubby will want to go that soon. It is hard trying to fit in 2 Disney trips this year though with Cooper starting Kindergarten next year and we already have a Hawaii trip planned for June with our friends. Oh well, until I figure it out, I will live vicariously through your trip reports. :rotfl2:

I hope they have some anniversary stuff. They seem to be getting awful stingy with their special merchandise.

Hello MeMom! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Yay for adding another trip in October!

I can't wait to check out Pop in less than two weeks now! My first time ever to any of the value resorts.

Happy New Year, everyone!

We did have a great Christmas. It was wonderful having the house filled with fun and laughter and chaos again.

I hope you like Pop. Since it has just been fixed up over the past year, your room should be nice enough. It may seem small, if you are used to mods and deluxes, but I hope you like it.

If I remember correctly, didn't a certain Memom try to take something without paying. I can't wait to hear the story!

Try?
She 'walked right out the store' with something! :scared1: :rotfl:

I am not a known troublemaker, but on this trip, I changed that.

I love being in on the surprise! :dance3:

Maybe we'll hook up with you on MK day then. What places and times are your ADR's for that day? Maybe we can just come to wherever you are waiting for them to call you in.

Having work pay for any part of a trip sounds perfect to me. :thumbsup2

A Hawaii trip sounds incredible. I know that place is so beautiful. Just looking at pictures, I know they don't do the colors (flowers, water, etc.) justice.

Me too!! That way I get to meet two of the three most popular Dissers. (Anita being the third)!!

I'd love it if we could be down there when all the May people are going to be, but since we've already used 2 1/2 of 4 snow days, I feel sure we'll be making some up. I like to go later in the summer, too, to have something to look forward to. If we went in May/early June, I'd be crying for another summer trip in July. Whatever month of the year you go, you can almost be assured Anita and Marc will be there.

Let's continue shopping...

The middle name of two of my favorite girls.

SSRStayOct2010128.jpg

Brooklynn did a pin trade.

SSRStayOct2010129.jpg

She really enjoys choosing the new pins, and she totally understands the concept of having to give one up in order to get one.

Vinylmation figures.

SSRStayOct2010130.jpg

I thought this was cute.

SSRStayOct2010131.jpg

It was at that point that we heard the music coming back through for the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! parade, so we stepped outside to see it.

SSRStayOct2010132.jpg

After several minutes of watching the parade, which I don't know if I took video or just watched, since there are no pictures, I noticed that I had walked out of the Emporium still holding the two packs of little figures I had planned to buy. I felt my heart sink into my stomach, and I looked around for anyone with a badge that might be heading toward me. Luckily, there was no one like that. Jill cracked up laughing at me, and instead of sympathizing with my plight, I think she didn't take long to post onto Facebook that I was a thief!

SSRStayOct2010135.jpg

When the parade was over and had made its way back through the fence, I went back inside and explained to a CM at the counter what I had done. She didn't act like it was any big deal at all. I then PAID for the two packages, (wanted to be sure you all got that part) which will forever make my heart flutter at the thought of my initial thievery.

I felt lucky that no one had shown up with Mickey-shaped handcuffs, and we went on our way.

But since I had made out with that stuff, maybe I should try something bigger later in the trip.
And maybe I should make the baby my accomplice this time.
My heavens, it did happen again, and after that I told Jill I was not allowed in any more stores!
But more on that when it comes along in the trip. ;)

Okay, let's go across the street to look at sweet stuff.

First, some fun Halloween things.

That's it for now. The girls have had lunch and I put Bella down for her nap. Now I am going to clean up their mess and get something for myself. I'm still enjoying all the leftovers from the weekend, but they are almost gone now.

I can't wait to hear this trouble story, MeMom :rotfl:

That's so great you'll be in Disney for the Flower & Garden festival. I heard next year they will have Toy Story and Cars topiaries. :goodvibes

My DD 11 and I will be there that weekend too for the 5k. We will drive up on the 25th. Tentative plan is: 26th- morning is the 5k, lunch at le cellier/epcot then dinner at kona and then mk to closing. We will then have to leave on the 27th so DD won't miss school Monday. I am not sure yet about where we are staying. It will be at one of the values but I am waiting for a friend who is also going to decide. Where will everyone be for a meet up and time for the night of the 26th? Would the Poly work?

Oops just read that the meet might be the 28th instead. oh well maybe we can meet up at MK the 26th.

We arrive on the 26th - morning flight, so we'll be there by early lunchtime. We leave on the 2nd in the evening.

What are your dates? We'll be at Pop.

What I hope to do is have one big 'meet up' for all who are there rather than try to see different people at lots of places. It's easier to do it like that and not spend so much time trying to make appointments and then sometimes missing them or missing other things.

I think we were typing at the same time.
Read above for my story of crime. :goodvibes

I did see that they were going to have Toy Story and Cars stuff. The girls will like that. I'm kind of excited about seeing the actual opening ceremony deal. I saw a youtube video of the one from year before last, I think it was.

My DD 11 and I will be there that weekend too for the 5k. We will drive up on the 25th. Where will everyone be for a meet up and time for the night of the 26th? Would the Poly work?

Polynesian works for me. We love it there and always visit. I can snag another ziplock bag full of sand for my vase. ;) We'll have to see who else can make it over there. What time is your Kona ADR? Since we will have caught the 6 a.m. flight that morning, I am guessing that we will not stay out late that night.

Kona is at 5:30 so we can try and catch the parade as well. Missed it the last 2 trips.

Oh my! What a narrow escape from Disney jail! :scared1: Just kidding. An honest mistake I'm sure a great many people make every day. :goodvibes

Your new/revised trip plans sound like fun. It would be super cool to be there for the Magic Kingdom's anniversary in Oct. I hope they will have special merchandise... I"ll especially look forward to those shopping pictures! :thumbsup2

I'm still enjoying all the leftovers from the weekend, but they are almost gone now.

Would you like for me to bring you some chicken casserole tomorrow? It would be leftovers from my house that you haven't had since Saturday.

We have absolutely no plans yet. We'll be at the resort by late afternoon on the 28th, so we can do whatever, whenever!

I am amazed at what Disney bakers can create! I watched a show on a food channel that showed holiday treats at Disneyland and how they are made. It's AMAZING! They make homemade candy canes, and those dipped apples! Who would think to make Mickey/Minnie apples! WOW! I SO can't wait to see that magic again. It has been too long. Thank you again for filling that void with your shopping pics. :)
