My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

I have enjoyed reading about your Christmas. It sounds like everyone had a great time. We had a very nice Christmas as well. I am so sorry to hear about your heater. I hope it works out so you don't have to use space heaters.

I hope you have a fun few days with your girls before you have to go back to school. Is Trent still around or did he have to go back already?

My husband and I are going to be in the world from Feb 23rd - Mar 4th. Maybe there will be a Memom sighting:goodvibes

You know...if you have to move your dates so you can go to the wedding...I really like May 27 through June 2. ;)

I would trust no dates before the 7th or so of June, because I have a feeling we're going to be making up some snow days this year.

$3900 for the high efficiency unit. WOWSER! I am going to call and see if I can get the credit line when Trent gets back from running erands and can watch the girls for a few minutes while I talk on the phone. I think he said they will be leaving tomorrow morning. We're trying to decide if we're going to trade cars and have him take the truck and me have his Honda Accord.

Good luck with the heating unit finance. On a smaller scale my washer died last Wednesday middle cycle. The water is still in the tub. The repairman said it was the motor and for a little more I could buy a new one. So today I will be looking for a new washer, and trying to get water out of the tub of the old one before they carry it out the door. It was not fun the other day wringing the water out of the clothes before drying them. I can relate to my mother back when growing up and wringing out clothes. I think I am showing my age again.

You could please two DIS friends and go at this time :goodvibes May 31-June 8 works well too ;)

Hope your Christmas was filled with magical family memories. I'm glad to hear your heater situation was fixed. Your Disney Christmas tree was just beautiful. My parents bought me a box of 7 dwarves ornaments and an Ariel ornament as some of my Christmas gifts for the day when I have my own tree. Plus, Chris and I each have personalized ornaments on our Christmas trees at our houses. There's just so many to choose from!

Oh I could use those honey spoons right now with my tea!

I would move the trip to June. It will probably be less crowded than later in July.

I think there will be several DISers there, so we will figure out a date and time for everyone to meet at once.

My washer is about four years old, I think, but my dryer is old, and it comes and goes.
If I run it through three times, the clothes eventually get dry.

There are so many great Disney ornaments to choose from. A person could easily have several trees with different themes.

I think we may move it back one week, which would put us going down at the end of June and coming back the evening of July 3rd. I'm really disappointed, because the 'Ohana dinner meet was going to be a highlight, but Spencer's wedding is pretty important, so we really need to work things out to be there on his special day.

We'll have to work out another meet somehow, when they are traveling back home. Surely almost everybody can travel through Nashville on their way to and/or from Disney World, can't they?!?!? :) We could go to the zoo, or something, and we do have restaurant here. Not 'Ohana, but maybe we could come up with something fun. Maybe it would even work out that Dawn would be in town, and Erica and Kim (Stasieki) could come, and maybe even other people in the vicinity. I'll have to talk to Anita, and we'll go from there.

That would be yummy. :goodvibes

We're trying to decide what to do now. It's really thrown a kink in the works.

Back in my last house I bought a heat pump and got a really low interest loan through my utility company. I don't know if yours does anything like that. Aren't there rebates or tax credits available now through the government for installing a highly efficient model?! Might be worth looking in to :confused3 I would imagine the company installing it would know about that. I'm sure you'll work it out for the best and hopefully you won't have to resort to space heaters. I have a small one by my chair so I can keep the house fairly cold (65 degrees) with the heat pump. I wouldn't want to leave it on all night though. Thankfully it's pretty mild most of the time in FL - although you would never know that lately :rolleyes1

MeMom, we're heading to the AAA office today to book for Feb :dance3: I'll tell you are dates when we get home!

I did talk to them about the tax credit. That definitely helps. ::yes::
They're coming tomorrow to put the new unit in, so I don't have to worry for a lot of years ahead, now. Of course, I just added another monthly payment to my budget. When you have 'things' - kids, houses, and cars - there will always be bills, bills, and more bills that come with them.

Okay, we will look forward to hearing. There should be quite a nice little group there in February. We'll try to have one big meet so that everyone can do that all at once and not have to schedule multiple meets in the few short days we all have.

So true:rolleyes: If I ever sell the duplex I live in I will rent from then on! Between taxes, insurance, maintenance, yard guy, etc., etc. It costs a fortune to own a house! For now it beats paying someone to stay with my mom and I'm happy to be close enough to look out for her! I'm glad you got it worked out, I know you've been expecting it for a while!

Just wanted to share with you some pictures of our winter wonderland ;) I uploaded them to Facebook but wanted to add them here too.

This is from around 3:30-4 PM yesterday, before it started getting bad

And these are from today. My dog was not very taken with the snow this time and was pretty peeved at me for taking him out :rotfl2:

I haven't been out since I took the pictures this morning (around 10:30), but at that time I think we had about a foot and a half of snow. I think by now it might be two feet and I can only imagine the drifts that are resulting from the wind!

All caught up. Glad to see you have started on the october trip. Sorry the magical express was anything but magical. I bet there were better days to come though:rolleyes1.

Looks like the girls had a merry christmas! Am I the only one intrigued to know what the big gift was?

Sorry to hear about your heater. Good luck with pinching pennies.:goodvibes Atleast your trip plans for feb/march and the summer are still rolling.

Hey MeMom! Glad you got your heating problem resolved. I finally got my refrigerator Christmas Eve. I had to cancel the first one because they ordered the wrong color and they said the right one might be here by the New Year. Well it all worked out in the end because I got online and found the very same one in the right color for over $100 less and they got it here Christmas Eve morning.

I saw all the Christmas pics on FB and it looked like it was a wonderful time for all. We had a very nice Christmas here also. Ty really racked up. He's the only one in the family under 22 so he get's kinda spoiled. I'm hoping that those quaters that Anita threw in the water at Wilderness Lodge works for my son and DIL. We need another little one to go with Ty. Hopefully by next Christmas we will have a new one on the way.

Enjoy the rest of your break and your time with Trent and the girls.

Stopping by our apartment on my way from work to the resort to catch up on the Dis. Sorry to hear about your heater troubles. My first winter in Milwaukee the heater broke and it was awful.

Thank you for the picture on Christmas morning of the girls. It made my smile even wider while I was eating Brooklynn's favorite Disney breakfast.

As far as your summer trip, I think you should move it earlier that way your time with Trent is spread out and doesn't interfere with church camp or Brooklynn starting school.

We are June 11 till the 20th. (I am applying DIS pressure to Anita to extend her stay...). We actually are going to book your lovely POP for our first night!

Feb 23-28 at the Wilderness Lodge  :dance3: :cool1: Thank you to the 35% off deluxe resort pin code :worship: We get in at 10:40 AM on the 23rd and meet the ME at 3:00 PM on the 28th so we get plenty of park time both of those days :goodvibes I'll miss one day of school, but that's not a big deal. A big DIS meet would be fun!

Now I'm gonna go book ADR's :yay:

Hi from Disney World! We're taking a break in the room after a long park day and some DTD shopping and eating before we go to the campfire to make some smores! Yum!

We are having a blast, of course! Spent a super wonderful evening last night and (cold) morning today in the MK with Anita and Marc.:goodvibes I wish our trips overlapped more so that we could spend some more time together.

I'm sorry your summer trip has gotten a kink. I understand why giving up that 'Ohana dinner with friends is a bummer. We will be here June 22nd-30th. If you move it up and come during that time, maybe you can get a look at an OKW room after all!!

Good luck with the heating system. We had to get a new one during the summer. Never fun to add in that new bill!

I'm sure your mom is very appreciative of having you to help her out instead of someone else.

Yeah, as much as I really can't add anything else to my budget, that air system lasted a long, long time, so I can't gripe.

Poor puppy!
I really do think your neighborhood is just so charming.

The big box was a Little Tikes basketball goal for the girls.

I am trying to move money from one fund to another enough to pay off the February trip. I usually pay the summer trips out of income tax refunds. I think our summer trip is going to end up even shorter than we had already shortened it, but if we do that, Jill and I might get that October weekend trip after all.

I knew you were having refrigerator issues, but I didn't know you already had it all solved. Yay for it being cheaper! :yay:

Hope those quarters work for you kids. :thumbsup2

Trent and Tanya are leaving tomorrow. It's been like old times having Jarvis, Brandon, and Spencer over here again. I have enjoyed getting to see them.

I bet a Wisconsin broken heater situation is way worse than a Tennessee broken heater situation!

I think we might stick to the same week but just shorten it by a day and a half.

We are June 11 till the 20th. (I am applying DIS pressure to Anita to extend her stay...). We actually are going to book your lovely POP for our first night!

Well, if you can get Wigd to stay longer, we might be able to go and overlap both of you guys. I don't know, though, because Jill and John always go to KY for Father's Day.

I hope you like Pop, even though you do need to go in knowing it is not going to be as nice as a DVC place. It has a great kiddie pool.

What ADR;s did you get?

Your arrival and departure times work very nicely. :)

I saw pictures of the kids today. I am glad you all got together.

If we move it back a week, we'll be coming in on the 20-something of June, whatever that Saturday is before July 4th week.

I am stressing about the money now, but I know I have to have heat, so there's not much I can do about it. I will figure it all out.

What ADR;s did you get?

Your arrival and departure times work very nicely. :)

Liberty Tavern dinner, Kona breakfast(first time seeing the Poly in person!), Via Napoli lunch, Tusker House breakfast, Chef Mickey's dinner, and Crystal Palace lunch :goodvibes

I'm so happy with our times! I looked at flights a few days ago and was hoping we'd get those!

Our neighborhood looks a lot like Meg's right now  I think we have a little over a foot of snow. I'll take some pictures in the morning.
