My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

What fun pictures! I really want to get down there around Halloween some year, and stock up on some new decorations. Everything looks so cute!

The pins are darling - I was thinking that starting next trip, I would buy 2 pins; one for the place I stayed and one for a ride or attraction I hadn't done before. I think the pins are so cute but you could easily get carried away and buy more than you knew what do to with. Or at least I could.:rotfl:

Have a great Sunday!

Merry Christmas MeMom, Jill, and your wonderful family! I loved reading all about your Christmas festivities! We had a white Christmas here, too, and even built a couple of snowmen! :santa: Can't wait to see all the pictures of the girls playing with their new loot from Santa!

Starting the day after Christmas off with a display of Halloween fun at the MK is always good! :thumbsup2

Yesterday, our two were up at 5:00 -- having them still asleep this morning is a nice change of pace. :lmao:

I am so glad you had such a good Christmas. We had a great one too. Blake has wanted the original Woody doll for awhile. He has many Woody dolls of all sizes, but not the original pull string. He even made a wish at IASW for Woody. Santa was good to him and brought Woody, Bullseye, and Jessie. Along with many more TS and Cars toys. Cooper got Buzz wings too. We are having a lot of snow right now. Much more than yesterday. Have a great day. Love the pics of Haunted Mansion. I just bought a HM t-shirt last trip.

I know it was a fun day for your guys.

I thought that t-shirt was unique, because it was so specific to say 'Liberty Square' on it.

I have enjoyed buying special pins for resorts, rides, and attractions. Whenever I see them, it brings back a special and fun moment in time. :) You could get carried away, but so far, I have managed to keep it in check. I think you will really enjoy choosing just the right ones.

Halloween at Christmas. Summer at Halloween. Spring break in the summer time. We're always off-season. :upsidedow

Brooklynn has been paying with a big bowl of snow for about twenty minutes. She's having a good time mounding it up in a cup and pouring it out.

It was a fun Christmas. I am sure looking forward to February 26th now! :dance3:

Your Christmas sounded full of Family fun. I also look forward to pictures of the girls in the snow and their new toys.

No church this morning so viewing the Disney pictures at least got me out of the snow covered house and in the warm weather of Disney. I am counting the day until I can visit Minnie's house and get several of her recipes.

Love all of your ornaments! Sorry to hear about your heating problems but glad to hear you got it fixed for now.

Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas with Jill and the gang. We didn't get snow until last night. We ended up with Madison on Christmas Eve because Katie had to work Santa had to do some overtime! Alison will be here later this evening so we get to do Christmas all over again with her. Clay is out playing in the snow with the girls and I'm trying to get some motivation to do a little cleaning. It's not working very well!

I'm glad you had a nice Christmas! Ours was nice too :goodvibes My uncle, Josh, and Kazin came here for dinner. Josh, the chef, made the turkey and potatoes and they were soooooo good :cloud9: Jeremy called to say Merry Christmas while we were opening presents. They were with Leslie's family yesterday, but they're coming down in a couple weeks :) We got Kazin a big Mickey stuffed animal(it's almost as big as he is ) and he LOVED it. I got a video of him opening it and his face just lit up :lovestruc

My mom and I are hopefully going to the AAA office this week to make our Disney reservations :thumbsup2 We're aiming for Feb 23-28. We have a 35% off deluxe hotel discount so we can probably stay at WL! If it works out, we'll be leaving in 59 days :cool1:

As Meg said, southern New England has a blizzard warning. I loooove snow so I'm excited. We already have a couple inches :goodvibes

At the mention of snow here, the store aisles fill up, and all the milk, bread, and eggs are gone from the shelves. Apparently, we eat a lot of French toast when it snows. 15 to 20 inches - you are welcome to keep that way up there. You can build a snow family and take a picture for us. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: So funny that you say that about the french toast, because my dad's Facebook status said the same thing! Great minds, right?

It has started snowing harder (we've had flurries pretty much all day) and I just took my dog out around the block -- I think we have a couple inches so far. I took a couple of pictures and I'll share them as soon as I can get them on to my laptop. It looks beautiful!

Glad you had a great Christmas.
A blizzard is hitting NYC right now, so I'm in pjs catching up on the DIS.
Your photos are a great alternative to being in Disney. Love them :goodvibes

We've taken plenty. We just have to get a lull in the action to load them. People have been in and out of the house constantly since we got here yesterday.

Glad you enjoyed the trip to sunny Florida. You may have to get Minnie to e-mail you those recipes. Toontown will probably be closed by the time you get there again. I think it's closing in January.

We have done Christmas for three solid days. We have a couple of play dates this week while the girls are here. Getting back into the routine next week will be difficult in some ways, but good for everyone in others. I know the girls will be way out of their routines by the time they get back to school, and the rest of us have been gorging ourselves at every meal, so that has to stop, obviously. I'll probably do my cleaning when everyone has gone. I also have a little bit of schoolwork I will do for about two hours in one sitting, and then I will do nothing else school-related during this entire break.

I'm hoping I can work out a payment plan for the heating situation.

How nice to be able to stay for the whole time at Wilderness Lodge. We love that resort. We will plan to meet up with other DISers , too, so we'll find a place that works for everyone.

It is snowing again here, everyone has still been coming and going okay. I can tell it is a lot colder tonight than it was yesterday.

Sounds nice to me. Pretty snow falling outside and just relaxing in a nice warm home.

I normally start taking decorations down a few at a time in the days after Christmas, and then I take the tree down on the 2nd. I leave it up for New Year's Day.

4 days and 12 pages. You average 3 new pages of posts a day!

I gotta say, the ending of your TR was much easier when a new one started just a few posts later. :goodvibes And what a great way to start the trip with Trent arriving!

Sounds like you have had a wonderful Christmas holiday. I saw your post on Facebook about the heater, I hope the temporary fix is still holding out, or you were able to get it completely fixed so you stay warm! We've got the white stuff here now too, anywhere between 10 to 15 inches tonight!

I have to talk with the heater people tomorrow. It's supposed to be 17 degrees in the next few nights, so I am hoping I can work out the payment plan and then go ahead and have it installed before it breaks down again.

In pre-trip news, we have a major glitch, as of today. Trent's good buddy, Spencer, was here today with his fiance, and they informed us of their wedding date. It's July 9th, which was to be the last day of our trip. Trent will have to be here Thursday to do wedding stuff on Friday.
Anyway, our choices are to
-stick with our dates and miss the wedding, which I really hate to do, as Spencer is one of my 'sons' from way back
-cut the trip short
-move it forward to the end of July/first of August (but Brooklynn's school schedule may not allow that)
or
-move it to June.

When are any of you guys going in June?

We had planned to eat at 'Ohana on July 7th with Marc and Anita and Katie and her family, and that plan would be messed up, too.
We're not sure what we're going to do as of now.

:rotfl2: I think you slipped there. Don't take it out on the heater people. I am sure they are nice people ;) :rotfl2:

I guess moving it back a couple of days is not an option? I am not sure if you have summer school/camp or anything else that would prevent that.

It looks like you may get a birthday trip afer all. Or maybe you can swing June and overlap with Anita and Jackie? Although that might be before school gets out and with snow days....

If you have to move it, go with a birthday trip. Maybe I will join you since our birthdays are close together. :lmao:

Happy after Christmas! I hate taking down decorations! I didn't get them up as early as I usually do, so I will be dragging out some of them until after New Years! :rolleyes1

I am glad you'll get your heater squared away. Winter has just really started, so it will be good to have it taken care of.

Your posts about Christmas were delightful, seems like you all had a wonderful day...

Oh! What a dilemma! Trying to figure out your plans. Yikes! Can you go a little earlier, then leave a little earlier?

Fun posts of Minnie's house, crazy that Toontown will be gone!!! :sad2:

But we all know that the new MK is going to be amazing!

Stay warm!

Yes, it's this raggedy computer. I am going back to add my e, so my anger doesn't show. ;) Actually, the heater guy was very nice, and the heater itself has lived long past what I thought it would, so I can't be hating on anybody!

I'm afraid to plan anything toward the beginning of June, because we will likely be making up some snow days this year. I'd be safe if it were the second to fourth weeks of June, so we might talk about doing that. July gets into church camp until the end, and Brooklynn's school schedule will now be a factor. Oh well, we're only planning on Spencer getting married once, so, we'll do whatever we need to do. :)

I thought about that - going a few days earlier and leaving on Thursday. That was supposed to be our 'Ohana night, but we could back it to the 6th, when Marc and Anita get there. Jill getting the end of one week and most of the next one off, though, is going to be a problem. I think her boss wanted her to take one solid week. We might just talk about going sometime in June. If we're going to get to spend time with Trent in mid-July anyway, because of the wedding, then it might be good to choose a June week and spread it out. If we kept the July dates, we'd lose time with him, as he'd have to leave early.

I just dropped in to say that Brooklyn had the cutest shirt on Christmas Eve! ;) Hollie saw the text and she thought that was so cool! lol

Hi Memom. I am finally all caught up.
Sorry about the car/heater stuff. LAST xmas we had no electricity for 6 days. it finally came on on DEC 24th at 12am. Just in time for Santa. ugh.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Great start to the new report.:thumbsup2

Jill told me that you said Hollie and Brooklynn were 'twins' that night.
And did they open the same present or something, too? I was cooking, I think, but I recall her telling Brooklynn something about the same shirt and the same something else.

Joining in!

Hello, new old friend!
I saw some super sweet pictures of a precious baby girl in an adorable little outfit on FB. I hope you guys are enjoying a cold Christmas again, but I know being with your family makes it good. :)

No electricity for days?
Did you have a fireplace, at least?

I was grateful that the guy could come out that day, although it was costly. I will know after talking with them today which way I'll be going with heat for this winter. If nothing else, I'll just have to go with space heaters and hope for a warm winter so that the pipes don't bust.

When we left the Haunted Mansion kiosk, we went into Yankee Trader. This is a quaint little store that we enjoy visiting for the unique atmosphere.
