Well, we're having a white Christmas here.
What about you?

Last night, we opened presents and everyone got so many nice things. Jill has not approved of my ratty luggage for a while, so she got me a nice set. And to help me decided where to travel with new luggage, she got me the Disney Parks video set! I think I will know just where to go now!

Tanya got Trent tickets to a New Year's Day Florida game, which he loved. The girls got clothes and toys. The guys got movies and restaurant gift certificates, and Drew smiled pretty big at his case of Dr. Pepper. I rarely buy drinks for home, and when I do, they're the cheap kind. He has a 12 pack all to himself now, but I'm guessing it won't last long. He'll guzzle the whole thing down over the next few days and be back to water soon.

Jill has had so much good food for us. She's such a great girl in all the roles she fills for us and others. I am so proud of what she has grown up to be.

Santa came after he was sure the girls were fast asleep. He left a lot of 'dolly' things, so the girls will be playing mommies to their babies for a long time to come with all of this neat stuff.

I woke up and looked outside to see the white stuff falling. It has barely covered the ground, but Tanya wanted to see snow, and now she gets to, so that worked out nicely. We're just supposed to have 1/2 to 1 inch, so it should not affect the roads. We should be safe to drive to Nashville later today.

i'm not even attempting to catch up as i've been gone for like 2 months but i did see these.

i couldn't remember what ray was doing here. it looks like he's wiping sherman's privates! i asked him and he reminded me that sherman got into a sonic bag that had maple syrup in it in my grandparents' basement and he was cleaning him up!

This has been the best Christmas in a while.
I got to see my whole family, and my stepbrother. That doesn't happen often so it was such a blessing.

Another Christmas is in the books. We will remember it for being Brooklynn's first year to really understand the concept and anticipate Santa's arrival, for all of us being under one roof, even though we are spread a far distance apart now, and for the beautiful snow that covered the landscape and gave us the opportunity to build a snowman on Christmas Day. We will remember it for good food and for laughter. We will remember it for Jarvis braiding the mane of Brooklynn's new and very large horse and for Bella putting her hands over her head as she thought about diving off the top of the steps. Jill caught her, thank heavens, so her dive was thwarted. We will remember getting pictures from Disney World from friends who spent the day there. We will remember it for new babies who made this Christmas so special for their families. It was a good one.

Brooklynn would like to share a few smileys and her thoughts on each to end this Merry Christmas Day.

We are just missing a white Christmas -- there's a blizzard warning in effect from noon Sunday till 6 PM Monday, and we're supposed to get 15-20 inches of snow. I probably sound crazy, but I'm really excited for it. I can't remember the last time we had a blizzard. Nor'easters, yes, but not blizzards. The only thing is, my dad was supposed to leave for Ohio on Monday to visit my grandmother, and now he's not sure he'll be able to go. She worries about people traveling to see her in the winter months, so I know she'll be understanding, but I know it's disappointing for everyone there, and for my dad.

I hope your dad will work out a safe time to travel soon to see your grandmother. She would want him to wait, even though it would be disappointing not to see him now.

At the mention of snow here, the store aisles fill up, and all the milk, bread, and eggs are gone from the shelves. Apparently, we eat a lot of French toast when it snows. 15 to 20 inches - you are welcome to keep that way up there. You can build a snow family and take a picture for us.

Now that Christmas is over, two of the three hardest months (in my world, anyway) start - the ones that lead to spring break! The third month I am not fond of is August, when school starts. However, February will be redeemed this year by the fact that we are going to Disney World on the 26th.

Here's where we were when we left off.

We met back at the Judges' Tent.

After that, we had lunch at Columbia Harbour House.

I decided to get the shrimp, because I had read reports that it was good. It was okay, but I will go back to getting the fish on the next visit.

After lunch, we took a ride on Haunted Mansion.

I am so glad you had such a good Christmas. We had a great one too. Blake has wanted the original Woody doll for awhile. He has many Woody dolls of all sizes, but not the original pull string. He even made a wish at IASW for Woody. Santa was good to him and brought Woody, Bullseye, and Jessie. Along with many more TS and Cars toys. Cooper got Buzz wings too. We are having a lot of snow right now. Much more than yesterday. Have a great day. Love the pics of Haunted Mansion. I just bought a HM t-shirt last trip.
