My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

Yayy you started your new TR so fast! :) Love the fall pics of MK.

Aww what a sweet picture of the girls playing ring around the rosie! :cutie:

If only we could fly home from one trip and fly out again the next day and trips lasts as long as it takes to write the report. What a lucky duck Lola is-- or I guess cow, in her case, being in WDW even if she is being choked.
So, when do I have to leave my house to get to your house in time for a fun Disney Christmas?

Lola did seem to enjoy the trip. She said it was was more fun than any of the places she had been up to that point. :)

You can meet us at Jill's on Christmas Eve day. :santa: I was going to go down there tomorrow evening, but the more I think about it, it'll be better just to wait until early Christmas Eve morning. There won't be traffic, and it'll give me more time to get all my food prepared for when we come back up here Saturday night. Plus, I forgot that Drew is going with me, so that'll only be one night, Christmas Eve, that we'll have to take all of our stuff for. Trent and Tanya will be coming in early Christmas Eve morning, as well. I am very ready to have all my kids under one roof again.

Yaaaa a new trippie already!! That Bella is the cutest all snug in her pack and play! Don't you just love listening to little kids saying "hard" to speak words??? Adorable!

I was looking at all of your trip reports in your siggy and I searched to see how far back I joined the Memom and Jill fanclub. Do you know I made page 11 of your first trip report???? Who new? Look how little Brooklynn was then!!!! Click here! OOhh and this one cracks me up...click here! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I know these updates take a lot of time and energy but I would just like to say that I really really appreciate all you do to bring us closer to Disney and feed our addiction!!! Love you guys!!!

I absolutely do love toddler speak. It's so sweet.

So you are really an 'old' friend, aren't you? :goodvibes
It has been a lot of fun for us to meet so many new friends here. I really enjoy seeing the family pictures of all of your activities and seeing the kids grow. Look how many babies have been added to our group since our first report! It's been so exciting to be a part of the anticipation of who each one would be and then watch them come into this world and add so much happiness to their families. :lovestruc
We hope to meet everyone in person at some time down the road.

Before I comment on the TRs, you guys are planning on being in WDW after Christmas and through New Year's next year? I'm trying to convince Chris to go then too! I told him I'd give up birthday presents, Christmas presents and graduation presents (I'll have just finished grad school) if he'll pay for us to go during that time. He says it sounds like a lot of fun but still says "We'll see!" I'd be THRILLED if we were finally going to be there at the same time!!

Ok back to TR world...sad to see another trip come to a close but excited for some new adventures with you all. SS looks very pretty but just seems like such a huge resort. Did you guys feel that way? Love the sisters play "wosies" at the bus stop!

That's probably the time that will work best for us. I'll already be off, and the others won't have to take so many days, since they'll already have some days off. That's our plan as of now, anyway. It is crowded, so you do have to be willing to do the rope drops faithfully, but it's a great atmosphere seeing all the Christmas stuff. We do a more low-key Christmas at home when we go to WDW and then just let that be a big part of our fun.

Maybe it will work out for all of us to meet on the Poly beach for fireworks to bring in 2012, then. I just PM'ed back and forth with Dave and Kathy, the people who have the great Poly room for viewing fireworks. He's going to have the webcam set up again this year, so I'll be watching that.

It was big, for sure. Since we were on such a short trip, we only took advantage of the DTD walk one time. If it had been a lon trip, we could really have enjoyed the proximity to DTD more.

i think i've been lurking long enough... can't what to see what your crew has been up to!!

ps: you girls are too adorable (that means you, memom!!!)

Aw, shucks! We are so glad you decided to join in. :cool1: It's much more fun that way. You will meet a lot of nice people here. :goodvibes

Wasting no time I see. Good start so far.

No time to waste. I think we have about nine weeks left until the next trip and about 800 pictures, so we've got to get a move on it!

 for your fall TR!!!!! I am so excited and ready to read about it!

Awww, thank you MeMom! I just now saw this. That is so sweet of you! Hmmm, I think I need to post her pics now dont' I??? lol

Awww, thank you so much!

I'm ready for birthday pictures. I saw the Christmas program pictures someone else had put on your FB, but I want to see some video of that, too.

I hope we do find our way back to Central Florida soon. I am sad too but at least you'll see my dad. I would imagine our trips would overlap eventually.

I was also sad to see one tr end but happy to see another one begin. I wasn't to thrilled to hear that one of my former work areas misplaced your license. I also remember reading about your unmagical ride into Disney, it's a shame. I can't believe both of us forgot to take pictures when we met up for the failed Dole Whip meet. One day.

If we get the chance to see Ed on this next trip, we'll be sure and take a picture for you. We'll be doing Hollywood Studios on Sunday, I think, when there is a Fantasmic. I'll have to check for sure, but if it is Sunday, we can hook up with him after his shift, if it works for him.

I guess it does get old trying to put on your happy face all day every day. I know I fail to do that as a teacher, too. I guess with the initial Disney experience of taking the bus onto Disney property, I'd just like it to always be the best possible experience for first-timers.

I am so excited that you just moved right on to your fall trip! Love the picture of ring around the rosie. Lola is such a good sport, but that should be expected since she got to tag along to WDW!

True - I guess even a day of being choked in Disney World is still a decent day. ;)

Did you recognize that lovely Magic Kingdom entrance? :)

Yayy you started your new TR so fast! Love the fall pics of MK.

Aww what a sweet picture of the girls playing ring around the rosie!

October in Disney World is great. The weather is beautiful, and so is the fall decor. I would love it if we could be down there for the 40th anniversary of Magic Kingdom on October 1st, but I don't see that happeing. Time off for Jill and money for me are two strikes against us. :sad1:

I am such a sucker for sleeping baby pics! Love the one of Bella in her Minnie Mouse pajamas! Too cute!

Yep, it is those pictures of waiting for the MK to open that really make me want to be there -- the new one of Jill and Brooklyn did the same thing as the last one.

My heart has just melted seeing the picture of Bella asleep! I don't know if its because they are only a month apart, or because they have similar hair-styles :rotfl: but I always just adore seeing pics of her because I am instantly reminded of my little prince! I just want to leave work, fetch him from nursery and give him a huge squeeze!!!

Great start - I love seeing the first few pics of a trip report. Airport / travel pics. Hotel rooms before they become lived in and seeing what you get up to on your first morning - not that we don't all know that by now!

Julie xxx

The pictures of the girls playing Ring Around the Rosie at the bus stop are just precious! Especially with Lola the Cow being choked - Haha.

Yay for making MK rope drop! It's my favorite opening show and it's always better when it's your first park of the trip :)

Hey MeMom! :)
I haven't commented in awhile, but I've been reading along.
glad to see you've started your fall report, can't wait for more!! popcorn::

You finished one trip and started the next a little bit later...don't you wish the trips were really like that? I'm ready for your next adventure.

Are you sure you don't want to extend that July trip a week longer? We are going to miss each other by a few days. I'll try to get my trip extended on this end too! ;)

Glad you had a co-worker that was willing to take you to the airport. We always leave several hours early because I'm paranoid of traffic problems on the way to the airport.

It was a beautiful morning, and waiting for Magic Kingdom on a beautiful morning is an awesome way to start a day. :)

Sleeping children are precious. :lovestruc
When they are awake, hmmmmmm......

Jill and I played 'Wozy' a few times, too.
How can you turn down a smiling Bella saying, "Wozy?" and holding out her little hands.

I always think of the people in the crowd who are seeing the opening show for the first time, and I hope it is just giving them chills to see it.

Hey MeMom!
I haven't commented in awhile, but I've been reading along.
glad to see you've started your fall report, can't wait for more!!

Good to know you are still around. There's no way everyone can comment on every report all the time, so like you, I read and don't post very often.

What day are you getting there, and where are you staying? The only way we could overlap is for Brooklynn and I to stay a few extra days and fly home, since we are driving down. I'm not sure how possible that is moneywise, but we can toss around ideas. I really wanted to go for my birthday later in the month, but the week of the 4th just seems to work better for the whole group.

The funny thing is, that co-worker was still at school because she was booking a trip to Destin for the fall break. She was booking the Destin trip because she had seen my suitcase sitting in my room earlier in the day. So, after she dropped me off at the airport, she went home and started packing suitcases for her family. Her son, who is about 10-11, had no idea he was going to get a surprise beach trip. When we got back to school, she said it was one of the best vacations they had ever had. :cool1:

****************************************

Our first two rides were,

and I know you will be shocked,

Dumbo

and

Peter Pan.

I took video on Dumbo so that we could see the progress going on over the wall. We'll have to wait for Jill to load the video.

I don't even try pictures on Peter Pan any more.
It is pointless.
I may have a few seconds of video on it, too.
I'm not sure.

Small World was closed.
Winnie-the-Pooh was closed.

Then we walked toward Toontown.

We passed work being done on Mad Tea Party.

SSRStayOct2010041.jpg

So, in Fantasyland, Small World, Mad Tea Party, and Winnie-the-Pooh were all closed.

This was our last time to see Toontown as it was. It will be closed when we go back.

While Jill and Brooklynn went to ride Barnstormer, I took quite a few pictures.

We'll go into Minnie's kitchen next time.

:woohoo: You started your new report! I love the picture of Bella handing over her paci. Too bad your bus driver didn't give you a nice welcome, but at least Trent did. I know you were very excited to see him.

I just love waking up that first morning in Disney with your whole vacation stretching out in front of you. What a wonderful feeling! :goodvibes

I do hope they will find a way to recycle and reuse many of those treasures from Toon Town. Would be a shame to waste them. Or maybe if they go on sale on ebay we can just buy them for DIS town. :upsidedow

Seeing the Toontown pictures reminds me that I need to be sure to take a long look around in January. I might have to ride Dumbo for the first time in years to check on construction progress.

I wonder what's going to happen to everything in Toontown. It's kind of sad to see it go, but I'm so excited about the Fantasyland expansion :yay:

I also loved the picture of a sleeping Bella:cutie: Precious!!

I never get in to see Mickey & Minnies house but love all the little details. My boys are older & we never get in there.

Whew, I miss a few days and get way behind!! One trip has ended and one has begun. I love the pics of the girls. I cannot wait to go in the fall. It is so beautiful. The girls remind me of my boys together. They love each other and fight at the same time. I am glad you are feeling better! Healing ribs just take time. If I do not get back on the boards in time, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

It's interesting to see all of the changes going on at MK. It has changed so much since I was last there in November 2009.
I'm sad to see Toontown go. I never really got to say goodbye.

No surprise in your first 2 rides. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

It really seemed that so much was closed or "walled" up during October. I almost felt disoriented right by Pooh since I had nothing visually to get my bearings.

If I don't get a chance to say it, travel safe and Merry Christmas.

I always sit on that bench at the end. Every single trip. If I didn't sit there it just wouldn't be the same for me :upsidedow

Mickey's graduation day.

I have one of those coming up in less than 6 months! and :cool1:

I'm so sad that Toontown will be closed soon! What are your Feb/March dates? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my February trip. We have a pin code that expires on New Year's Eve so we could be booking next week. My mom still isn't sure but we were adding up hotel costs, flights, etc the other day. My mom and I both really want to stay at WL again at least for a few nights. I know you guys have done split stays before. Is it a hassle to change hotels during the trip or is it not a big deal? I'm really hoping we make it in Feb because it'll be really hard to go once I'm in college.

One more day of school until vacation  My mom has to work on Christmas Eve, but she's planning on working from home. The company she works for gives everyone the week after Christmas off so she'll be home with me next week :)

I took LOTS of Toon Town pictures, too!! :sad1: Sad that it's leaving, but of course excited for what's to come! :dance3:

Like this one? Not my kid obviously but my 3 yr(at the time) old nephew. This is also when he told my mom that he wanted a sewing machine for christmas. Hope he doesn't remember that he asked for it! LOL!

jjsewingmachine.jpg

If i do not make it back on here before Christmas I hope you and Jill and all of your family have a Merry Christmas!

You started your new report! I love the picture of Bella handing over her paci. Too bad your bus driver didn't give you a nice welcome, but at least Trent did. I know you were very excited to see him.

That face is a typical Bella face. I just want to smooch it all the time. :lovestruc

We were very happy to be with Trent again. We get to be with him again in just two days. :cool1:

Yes, the first morning is awesome.

It will be interesting to see what they do. They have said they will have meet & greet spots up on Main Street, but at one point I thought I read of the possibility of Mickey's house being put out front, as in outside the front gates. We'll just have to see how it all plays out. There will be lots of changes in the next couple of years, and we will only then be able to say what really did come of all the rumors.

Seeing the Toontown pictures reminds me that I need to be sure to take a long look around in January. I might have to ride Dumbo for the first time in years to check on construction progress.

You should do that. All together, our DIS bunch can document the entire process from the ground up to the final product.

I wonder what's going to happen to everything in Toontown. It's kind of sad to see it go, but I'm so excited about the Fantasyland expansion

We are, too. We are looking forward to all the new homes of the Princesses and will be excited about eating at Gaston's restaurant.

I also loved the picture of a sleeping Bella Precious!!

I never get in to see Mickey & Minnies house but love all the little details. My boys are older & we never get in there.

The houses were cute. The girls enjoyed playing with all the things in Minnie's kitchen.

Same to you. Looks like we could have a white Christmas in Tennessee.

It's interesting to see all of the changes going on at MK. It has changed so much since I was last there in November 2009.
I'm sad to see Toontown go. I never really got to say goodbye.

You are going to get a mini-trip, right? I guess it's not before Toontown closes. I knew that would be my last time to see it. I took several pictures in the summer and in October knowing it was about to be gone and/or changed.

No surprise in your first 2 rides.

It really seemed that so much was closed or "walled" up during October. I almost felt disoriented right by Pooh since I had nothing visually to get my bearings.

If I don't get a chance to say it, travel safe and Merry Christmas.

For people who don't get to go often, or if that was their only visit, they sure wouldn't have gotten the best Fantasyland experience.

We're traveling early Christmas Eve morning, so I hope there will be very little traffic.

Merry Christmas to your family, too!

I always sit on that bench at the end. Every single trip. If I didn't sit there it just wouldn't be the same for me

I told you this year would fly by. ::yes::

I hope you do get to go to Disney World before you start school, but in college, you'll have some nice long breaks, too. Maybe the money will be more of a factor then, though. I can certainly understand that!

It was not a hassle for us to change resorts. We just went ahead and packed the bulk of what we had used and kept out the last two nights worth of stuff. It was well worth any hassle at all to stay at Wilderness Lodge. :)

**********************************

I was waiting for Jill to share Brooklynn's dance recital, but since she doesn't have the time right now, I'm going to go ahead and share a few of mine. She did put some on FB that many of you have already seen.

Dress rehearsal was less than stellar. Brooklynn reached her hand out to Jill the entire time she was up there, and no matter which way she moved on the line or the circle, her eyes were fixed on Jill and her hand was outstretched. I thought it was hilarious, of course.

Fearing that the performance that evening would be a disaster, Jill took the initiative that all good mothers take in order not to be embarrassed by their children in front of a crowd....

she
BRIBED
her! :rotfl:

From dress rehearsal, we stopped at Target and Brooklynn was allowed to pick out a My Little Pony set that she could have IF and only IF she performed correctly that evening. She was thrilled, and Jill felt more confident in what was yet to come.

I was laughing at the entire situation. :)

Anyway, the ponies did the trick. Brooklynn performed beautifully and really concentrated on following her teacher, who was strategically hidden behind the curtain.

Here are a few pictures from the evening.

Before the performance.
