My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

Jill and MeMom, don't know if you have seen the show Sing-Off, buta group from Huntsville just beat out a group from Nashville. Being an Alabama native I was rooting hard for the Huntsville kids.

And we are off again!!!

Yep. :)
And this time, I'm not going to have you to remind me where I was ....
or wasn't.
I am worried. ::yes::
There may be a lot of 'I don't remember' moments.

Well now this is the perfect way to end the post trip blues... start right in on the next one!

Lola the cow is adorable! I bet she had a great trip. It's going to be tough for Brooklyn's classmates to top that trip, I'm sure.

 at Bella the seasoned traveler. So cute!

Sorry your ME ride was un-magical.

Hurrah for arriving and seeing Trent. Let the fun begin!!

I haven't even asked about Lola since the trip was over. I don't know where else she has gone since then.

So far, Bella has been a free traveler. After April, when she has to pay, we may be doing a lot more driving. I much prefer flying, though, so I may be taking on another job to pay for her ticket so we can fly. ;)

Yeah, the drive into Disney World was pretty blah, sadly.

YAY for starting up the next trip right away!

This one will be quicker. I only took 800 pictures for the whole trip.

Woo-hoo! New trip already! If you go over New Year's next year, that's when I'll be there. We get there a day or two after New Year's Day.

We'll probably leave Christmas evening, if we can get cheap flight prices like we did the last time we went on Christmas Day, or we'll leave on the 26th. We'll most likely have to come back the 2nd, because I have to get back to school.

What a nice way to end the report, going right into the next one! It's so nice to get that fix, especially because we are finally getting the first snowfall of the season. I took my dog out around the block and it was so pretty with some of the Christmas lights! It's even prettier now that I'm home and don't have to worry about driving in it again.

I'm glad you don't have to be out driving in the snow, although I'm sure you are very used to it and very good at it.

Can you take a picture of one of the houses with Christmas lights and the snow? I remember thinking your block looked so cool last year in the snow.

Another trip woo hoo!!! Don't we all wish it was that quick in between real trips

And lots of time spent with Trent.

I think my perfect thing would be a trip every three months. That would keep it still exciting, but there wouldn't ever be a long wait.

Jill keeps up with and knew of a guy that was in it, according to her FB information. I have no idea about any of it and have never seen it. When my TV has been on, it has been on a Christmas movie on Hallmark, Disney, or Family Channel.

Joining in.

We're so glad. Feel free to comment whenever and share your questions and comments. It makes it more fun when we all have relaxed conversation.

Ah, I was so sad to see your trip ending -- and I do have to say you are a better person than me because I am always jealous of the people checking in as I am checking out  -- but then you started your fall trip, and I wasn't sad anymore! I remember reading about that ME trip to Saratoga Springs! What an unmagical way to start a Disney trip. :(

Normally I do not watch the contest shows because they hurt my head. I watched American Idol one year in college because one of the guys from one of my classes was on and made it to Hollywood and into the top whatever it is when they get to start doing solos. I watched Sing-Off this season because one of my former employees was in the group Committed from Huntsville and a guy I went to college with was in Street Corner Symphony from Nashville. When it was down to those two groups last night I didn't really care who won because I was pulling for both of them.

I wonder if the drivers feel like since it's late at night that they don't have to really try and get the people excited? :confused3 I wouldn't have liked that bus ride much either!

What part of Saratoga Springs did yall stay? Did yall enjoy that resort?

I'm sad to see the last TR end but very excitted to see the fall one!

Love the pics! :thumbsup2

Here is a pic of my birthday cake... it was perfect and tasted awesome!

Thanks! I do have a pretty good handle on driving in the snow. It wasn't bad when I was going to work after my final yesterday (which you may or may not have seen from FB started much later than it should have...it was supposed to go 12-2 but ended up going 12:45-2:45), but after work it was pretty bad. I live on a one-way side street and the only way to get to it is to go up another side street, and there was absolutely no plowing, sanding, or salting. I was very happy to be home last night!

I absolutely will take some pictures! And that reminds me, when I was out on Sunday night, my friend was taking the back roads for our Sonic run and we saw this house (courtesy of Charles and his iPhone)

The picture really doesn't even do it justice. The traffic was really slow coming up to this house and it was because the house, front yard, side yard, trees, everything, were lit up and had decorations everywhere, and people were crossing the street and walking around b/c they were allowed to walk around the house and yard and look at everything. I'm pretty sure the truck that you can see had a generator in the back. Had there been a place to park, we would have gotten out, too, but there were six very hungry people in the car :rotfl:

Hi friends!

I'm here but slow in reading, as usual. My NY resolution is to be a better DIS friend. :)

I just love reading another MeMom & Jill TR!! It's so fun to see your adventures. How lucky we are to be able to have friends that "get" our Disney love & share in that! I am thankful for my DIS friends! :)

Have a fabulous week!! I am currently thinking I may forgo the solo trip for a July road trip with my sister & brother....decisions, decisions!!! :)

We waited a long time to leave. The bus driver didn't speak.
I don't think Walt would have been pleased with our fairly unmagical arrival. I feel bad for those who were on their first Disney trip, because I imagine they were less than impressed, at this point.

I completely agree with this!! Some people save money for years to go on their once-in-a-lifetime trip and I really think CMs need to keep this in mind. Walt would not like it at all.

Cannot wait to join along on another fun trip! :goodvibes

Oh yay! I am with CP! I was sad for a flash, until I realize you were rolling right into the next one!!! YAY!!!!! I liked Saratoga Springs. It was the first family trip we had together with both kids, we stayed there in a studio and liked it. Late getting in but how fun to be there no matter the time. Though that is a drag about that bus driver... I agree arriving in Disney will be a first time for everyone at some point, so it is important to remember that...

It was so bad that I didn't even try to get a picture as we drove under the arch. We were just ver happy that we were the first stop. :thumbsup2

After sitting for so long, you'd think the driver would at least have a short greeting, you know, "Welcome to Disney World, folks. Hope you have a magical visit." Even if it was said without enthusiasm, some acknowledgement that there were passengers on the bus with him would have been nice.

We were way far out, as far as rooms, but with just a short walk to the bus stop, we were fine. One morning, I walked all the way across the place to the main building, and it was an enjoyable and pretty walk. It was really nice to be right across from Downtown Disney. We did enjoy it, and we are grateful to Wigd and Shocker for letting us have their points to stay there.

Nice cake, and isn't it sweet that your mom added that fun little touch. She knows you well. :)

I'm glad that there are people who go to the trouble of doing all those displays for the enjoyment of others, especially for the kids.

Where would this road trip take you? We want to go to St. Louis to do the zoo and DIS meet, but if it means no Disney trips, we'll have to go with the Disney trip. Now that Trent is a part of the Disney package for us, it's pretty much going to be Disney every time. Of course, if he could get a good priced flight to St. Louis, then we could all be there together. We'll have to look and see what those flights would run for him.

I completely agree with this!! Some people save money for years to go on their once-in-a-lifetime trip and I really think CMs need to keep this in mind. Walt would not like it at all.

I guess I feel 'ownership' in the Disney experience, and I want everyone to leave feeling wowed!

I don't know that we've ever had a driver that didn't at least acknowledge his passengers in some way or maybe say some little something about the approaching sign. We've had great ones that made it very exciting, and many people cheered as we went through. That night, I was just thinking, 'Let me get off this bus and get this trip going in a better way'. ;)

That's it for right now. I'm just going to really try to stay on top of this one and keep it going. Maybe we will manage to finish this one sooner than the day before we walk out the door for the next one. :goodvibes

If only we could fly home from one trip and fly out again the next day and trips lasts as long as it takes to write the report. What a lucky duck Lola is-- or I guess cow, in her case, being in WDW even if she is being choked.:lmao:
So, when do I have to leave my house to get to your house in time for a fun Disney Christmas?:goodvibes

Yaaaa a new trippie already!! :cool1: That Bella is the cutest all snug in her pack and play! Don't you just love listening to little kids saying "hard" to speak words??? Adorable!

I was looking at all of your trip reports in your siggy and I searched to see how far back I joined the Memom and Jill fanclub. Do you know I made page 11 of your first trip report???? :confused3 Who new? Look how little Brooklynn was then!!!! Click here! OOhh and this one cracks me up...click here! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I know these updates take a lot of time and energy but I would just like to say that I really really appreciate all you do to bring us closer to Disney and feed our addiction!!! Love you guys!!! :goodvibes

Before I comment on the TRs, you guys are planning on being in WDW after Christmas and through New Year's next year? I'm trying to convince Chris to go then too! I told him I'd give up birthday presents, Christmas presents and graduation presents (I'll have just finished grad school) if he'll pay for us to go during that time. He says it sounds like a lot of fun but still says "We'll see!" I'd be THRILLED if we were finally going to be there at the same time!!

Ok back to TR world...sad to see another trip come to a close but excited for some new adventures with you all. SS looks very pretty but just seems like such a huge resort. Did you guys feel that way? Love the sisters play "wosies" at the bus stop! :goodvibes

i think i've been lurking long enough... :) can't what to see what your crew has been up to!!

ps: you girls are too adorable (that means you, memom!!!)

Well, that's too bad. Maybe you can both find your way back to the Orlando area someday. Maybe everything is meant to be better wherever you are going, though. We just have to go into every situation with a positive attitude and an open mind. You are seeing a lot of the world in your travels, so that is something that is cool at the start.

I am sad that we won't get to see you in the spring. I'm sure our trips and your visits home will overlap sometime though. :thumbsup2
I hope we do find our way back to Central Florida soon. I am sad too but at least you'll see my dad. I would imagine our trips would overlap eventually.

I was also sad to see one tr end but happy to see another one begin. I wasn't to thrilled to hear that one of my former work areas misplaced your license. I also remember reading about your unmagical ride into Disney, it's a shame. I can't believe both of us forgot to take pictures when we met up for the failed Dole Whip meet. One day.

I am so excited that you just moved right on to your fall trip! Love the picture of ring around the rosie. Lola is such a good sport, but that should be expected since she got to tag along to WDW!;)
