Apologies in advance.:p

I want to move to Florida, to a place I truly love
But it feels like we are being cursed from the heavens up above.

Our trip to see some houses was put on hold two weeks ago
And now we’re wondering when and if the wind will cease to blow.

We’ve watched some houses blow away and others get damaged bad.
The people, pets and wildlife there, it just makes me feel so sad.

This trip should be commando style without a moment free.
But when we get F. L. A., will there be anything left to see?

Winter Garden and Clermont... I’ll view towns from the A’s to the Z’s
What I need to know is do I need to saw down fallen trees?

I’ve painted, mulched and scrubbed my home; it’s never looked this fine.
But moving to hurricane central? Does it mean I lost my mind?

Charlie was so terrible, a once in a lifetime storm.
But then not ten days later, Miss Frances began to form.

Apparently these two had a one night stand somewhere along the way
Cause now they’ve spawned Ivan the brat and he also wants to play.

So I watch and wait and pray up here that we will find the perfect house.
Cause I want to move to Florida and live next door to Mickey Mouse.

I hope Ivan goes and plays somewhere else so you get a chance to come down to FL. Great Poem.

Virgo10- here's a verse for you - I moved here from NH

I was nuts and moved to Florida on year ago this month
We live so close to Mickey Mouse and have had so much fun (th)

September brought us lots of rain, and some sunshine too.
October brought perfect temps and lots of things to do

In November we got homesick and spent some time away
December brought some frosty nights and warm and sunny days

January was so nice and we explored the coast
February warmed us up , the month we love the most

March and April we still played and visitors did come
May and June were steamy but we were still having fun

July was spent inside again, too hot to go outside,
Then the month of August came and took us for a ride

Charley and MIss Frances rained on our parade
They blew away our trees, and our power lines were frayed

We are still loving Florida, despite these past few weeks
Living in the Sunshine State still has NH beat!

So next to Mickey we will continue to stay
With our water and batteries til Ivan comes our way

Soon the weather will be nice
Here in our little Paradise!

:D Not quite as good as yours, but trust me, you'll love it here!!!
