It is our 1st US/IOA trip and I want to include my mom in as many attractions as possible...what are some things that would be great for her to do??

Which park is a better fit for her??

THANKS!!

Well@ US there's Beetlejuice-Fear Factor-Horror Make up-T2-and theirs ones w/stat seets like Newtron-Shrek-Lucy Tribute-and various shows threwout the park.

As far as IOA there's Sinbad-Posieadn-JP Discover Center-charac meets.
I'm prob missing a few things. But other posters will help if I did.

But donn't miss the Horror Make-Up show.Never donit till this week it's the funniest show we seen ever....:thumbsup2

I was just going to ask the same kind of question. I have a lower back disk issue. Doctor said I could do rides as long as I ice down my back at night. Portofino Bay is being awesome and giving us a fridge since I need the ice packs. Anyway are there any rides that I should just stay away from? Want to be on the safe side. :flower1:

I have the same problem with my back and neck and the only ride that gives me a little trouble is my favorite ride and that is the mummy but it doesn't affect my back just my neck due to part where it goes backward but not anything that does any damage to me and I do the same thing and that is if I begin to hurt or feel stiff I just ice down my neck and then I am good to go :thumbsup2

I had spinal fusion surgery at L5-S1 (the lowest part of your back) in Jan '07 and went to IOA/US in Jan '08.

I went on most everything, except Dr. Doom (but mostly b/c I'm not the hugest fan of that ride). The Mummy was a little jerky, but I still went on it 3 times, and didn't feel any effects. I also don't really like water rides, so we skipped the 3 at IOA. But Dueling Dragons, Hulk, Spiderman, MIB..all of the fun ones were just fine.

Incidently, we were also there a month before my surgery (which was to fix a fracture in my spine) and I didn't really have too many problems either. More than anything, the walking around all day was the hard part, not so much the riding of rides.

I don't know if you're planning to go to any of the Disney parks, but I can tell you to stay far far away from Dinosaur and the Primeval Whirl at Animal Kingdom. Those are NOT good for back issues.
