My mom's getting a new shoulder today

My mom is having shoulder replacement surgery this morning. I normally wouldn't worry about this too much, but she is 82 years old and not as strong and spry as she used to be. She really needs this done because she can't do anything with her right arm as it is now. She's already had both knees and one shoulder replaced. She's soon gonna be the 6 million dollar grandma!!
Anyway, any good thoughts, prayers and/or pixie dust would be greatly appreciated. I'm heading up to the hospital now, and I'll let you know how things go later on today.

Mom is out of surgery and in her room. She did okay during surgery, but she's in a lot of pain right now. She says it's much worse than when her other shoulder was replaced 4 years ago. But she has some good drugs, so I hope she can keep comfortable. Thanks for all the good wishes everyone.

Hi Becky, my mom's home tonight. I'm a little surprised they let her go home today, but she seems to be doing okay. It's painful, but she's managing. I just got home from their house, and one of my sisters is staying all night with them (I don't think my dad is very much help ). She should get better as the days go on, hopefully.
