On Monday, a new season of Canada's Worst Driver will begin. I have never seen this show in my life but my mother will be on it! Be sure to tune in. I have no idea just how bad she was but her name is Shirley and she is on there with my sister Janis, the person who nominated her. I can tell you that she is indeed a baaaaaaad driver. Will she be Canada's worst? :confused3

Does anyone watch this show?

You can see her audition video here: http://watch.discoverychannel.ca/ca...nadas-worst-driver-7---web-extras/#clip543175 (Ignore the advertisement for California at the beginning.) Pretty funny stuff.

I have watched the show and I have been shocked by the participants. I'm not sure what to say, exactly. If I wish her good luck I think I'm hoping that she gets voted off early. :confused3

Well, at least she has the proper antenna topper! :thumbsup2

Lol That was my car she was driving in the audition tape. I'm all about my Mickey head antennae topper.

I know what you mean. It's hard to know whether to cheer for her to get sent home or to go all the way an "win".

I love that show, I am constantly telling DH see I'm not that bad of a driver, you could be with them!!LOL

Good Luck to your mom I guess!

I love that show.. I can’t believe people are actually that bad at driving, some of the things they do is mind blowing

But I will look for your mom.

Are you serious. :scared1: There are people that ignorant of how to drive on the road?:sad2:

I watch every season.

My DD16 learned a lot about driving from this show.

Whenever I watch this show it makes me feel a whole lot better about her driving.
:goodvibes

I've never seen this show--I avoid reality TV like the plague--but can someone explain to me--are these licensed drivers? How did they get their licenses in the first place if they are such terrible drivers?

I love that show. Your mom drove right past my office. Glad you mentioned it was your car she was driving. I was going to warn everyone in the office to look out for it. I will be watching on Monday.

Love CWD! I think it makes everyone who watches it a better driver. :drive:

Based on the audition tapes alone I'd say your mom might get to go home second. Can't wait to watch!

You are lucky if you don't encounter bad drivers every day of your life. I know I sure do.

There are a lot of reasons that people may be bad drivers. One of the guys on this season, for instance, was in a horrible accident and lost all of his confidence. Some people simply don't drive that often so they lose what they've learned. Some never learned properly to begin with and got their licenses by pure luck.

So, yes, they all are licensed drivers who would like to improve their driving skills. I think that's pretty honourable and it was a great experience from what my mother and sister told me.

I hope she stays awhile, for educational aspect of it all. I am a good driver but I would love to do some of the stuff they teach you and run some of the courses they set up.

Yeah, I think it would be cool to drive the obstacle courses. Of course I wouldn't want to have to be on television to do it! :upsidedow Or to use my own car!!!!:lmao:

Personally, i think this show in particular should make them all stay till the end, then make them complete the drivers test again to get their license back.

Although I am 40 years old, i actually had to take the new graduated license course here in Ontario, as i didn't get my license until i was 25. I also had to repeat my G2 and G1 exit exams twice due to failing at minor things. Seeing some of the people on this show i am shocked that they passed at all.

That is too funny (I think LOL) .... Love that show - I will have to pay special attention!

Another fan of the show here...we often say how fun it would be to try the activities, but neither DH nor I would qualify for the show. We are constantly incredulous at the bad driving....and how the people must have had one great day when they actually got their licenses.

DH & I love that show! It's about the only TV show we watch religiously. I feel bad for your mom, but I hope she's one that went there wanting to improve herself. The people in denial get to me, like the lady who scratched cars every week (2 season ago I think), not seeing why it was an issue...

DH wants us to stage him as a bad driver so he can try all the fun exercises!

your mom shirley is related to my mom christine. your mom was at my son's grad party in june and was telling my family about her adventures. we are sitting her anxiously awaiting her debut. i think we go to disney as much as you do. our kids are 19 (today) and 16 and we have gone at least once a year sometimes twice since they were 19 months old. they love it
