my mom LOVES breakfast..

We liked Boma very much for breakfast (who woulda thunk the Boma mustard "worked" with breakfast). A really good buffet overall.

Last time we were at WDW, we ate breakfast at Boatwright's (in POR). The sweet potato pancakes were "hands down" the best single thing we ate for breakfast during the entire vacation. We enjoyed it so much that we actually booked 2 days at POR on our next vacation to "bookend" our stay at VWL and make it convenient to eat there again.

Offsite, we usually just grab breakfast at the Perkins near DTD. They are cheap (like Dennys) & have great potato pancakes (uh, you may notice this is a theme with me......) ;)

I called reservations this morning and the CM said the same thing about boatwrights. Also-Grand Floridian is just so beautiful I would like to do a meal there also. Oh decisions- why are they so hard!I may have to do a few breakfasts

I see you have Crystal Palace but...... there is nothing like getting into the MK at 8am and all is quiet and then to have a hot superb breakfast in a gorgeous setting. The restaurant is beautiful as is the view.

We couldnt believe how amazing the meal was and at 8-815 so hot and fresh.

We also really enjoyed it at at 10:20 seating. After a couple of hours of great touring it was a welcome break!

Keep your CP dinner reservation. As you see there are lots a great places to get a wonderful breakfast.

I would stick with Boma. It is excellent, wonderful and seeing the AK Lodge is a treat in and of itself. The teen son can get his fill and Mom will get a breakfast like none other. Also since she hasn't been in over 20yrs she's never been to the Lodge and it is definitely a must see.

As for the GF Cafe I've also keep wanting to eat there, but haven't been able to fit it in just yet. They offer B, L and Dinner so some day we'll make it work.

We did have an absolutely delicious and delightful meal at Narcoossee's last summer. It was a definite treat that some day we'll do again.

I'm not sure if you're staying at POR, but keep in mind that you could probably do a bfast at Boatwright's with just you and Mom while the Teen son sleeps in (wouldn't he love that!). Just pick up a CS breakfast meal for him on the way back or let him grab an early lunch at the resort before you start your park day. He's a teen so pizza or a burger might suit him just fine at 11am...:rotfl2:

i would recommend Cape May. Much more organized and quieter than most character meals, the food and the atmosphere is perfect for us "older" folk.

Crystal Palace. It's the only breakfast I always return to. I've always had good to excellant service, food, and character interaction there.

While it's only a counterservice meal, I highly recommend the tonga toast at the Poly. It's Captain something but its the only counterservice restaurant there and the tonga toast is deep fried cinnamon french toast stuffed with bananas. I make it a point to go there once while I'm on vacation, even though I never do actually stay at the Poly. So if you looking for a counterservice for breakfast instead of table service, then go try it.
