Two Curves studios just opened near us and my mom has received a free pass. I stopped in and picked up a brochure for her and noticed that the studio was very busy and several people were waiting. When I told her this, she was concerned about getting there and having to wait and wait to do her program.

I told her there were lots of happy Curves ladies here and that I could probably get some feedback for her from you all. So, what can you tell me about this? If the studio has lots and lots of members, there's bound to be times when you have to wait. Can you tell me how that works? TIA for any info!! :)

I've never been to Curves when I had to wait- of course, I go on the off hours- the hours that are crowded are going to be the hours before and after work I suppose. Curves is a wondeful, easy work out. The over all atmosphere there is extremely positive. If there is waiting time, it probably isn't that long of a period because people rotate in and out quickly. The total workout is only 30 minutes. I noticed you live in MI. Do you mind telling me where? We use to live just north of Ann Arbor in a town called South Lyon. There's a Curves there- right down the street from where we lived. Opened about 2 years ago now.

Thanks for the info! We live in Redford (so do mom & dad). Our church is actually in South Lyon, so we're very familiar w/the area and I know exactly where that Curves is. :)

I was actually surprised at how busy the studio seemed -- I'd called the day before and the gal told me they were slow because of the holiday weekend, and when I stopped in, it was at 10:45 a.m., a time when I would've thought they'd be slow...?

HAH! We lived right down 10 mile from Curves in South Lyon- in Pembrooke Crossings. Oh- how I miss MI!!!! Yes, you're right, you'd think that 10:45 would be no wait- but, was school out at that time? I noticed here, that when school is out, the mid morning hours get fuller. Anyway- if you talk to the girls that work there, ask them when the least busy time is, they can give you an idea of the best time to come. Those women there are wonderful! What church do you go to??? I know a guy that's a minister in SL- maybe there's a connection there!?!?!?!? HE's a Disney fanatic as well!

Yes, school was out -- it was Good Friday, so that must've been the difference. I'll let my mom know -- thanks!!

Our church is actually in a newly-built building at 8 & Currie -- we've only been in it a year (we'd been in Southfield for decades and then sold our bldg. and met in a chapel in Livonia for several years before building) and we're currently without a pastor (ours had to resign last November and he was definitely *not* a Disney fanatic! LOL).

I know exactly where that church is! I used to drive past it on my frequent trip to that cute little town of Northville! As for curves- i would definetly have your mom go in and check it out- I think she'd probably enjoy it. Let me know what happens!
