We're attending our first MNSSHP in October! Very excited. I've done a lot of reading about what the party offers and I think I have a plan all ready.

Since we've never been, I'll gladly take any critiques on the plan! I don't know if we're being too ambitious with it.

-Dinner @ 4pm (still trying for BOG)
-Get in line for the Seven Dwarfs at 6pm
-Meet the Witch; if too busy head to the Pooh characters
-Get spot for Boo to You at 7:45 for 8:15 show (outside Casey's)
-Stay in spot for Hallowishes which starts at 9:30 (Projection show at 9:15)
-Villians Mix and Mingle show at 10pm on castle stage
-If missed Pooh characters earlier, head there now
-Haunted Mansion
-Pumpkin waffle from Sleepy Hollow
-Meet Jafar, Genie, Jasmine, Abu, Aladdin in Agrabah Marketplace
-Meet Jack Sparrow outside of Pirates
-Club Villian dance party in Diamond Horseshoe
-Can watch Boo to You again in Frontierland
-7DMT if line is short enough

Also will be doing some trick or treating throughout the evening. We're two 29 year old adults if that helps!

Is there anything important we're missing? Would you do things differently? THANKS!

I would get in line for 7 Dwarves by 5:45 at the latest. Seems like everyone was getting in line right at 6:00 last year. We did Jack and Sally last year and they came out early right at 6:00 p.m. We hadn't planned on seeing the 7 dwarves, but since we were done with Jack and Sally by or probably even before 6:10, we went over to check the Dwarves line, and it was already to the point where it looked like it was going to be well over an hour wait once the party started. We did more than one party, and we checked their line at 6:00 our other night and it was already really long. I'm not sure when it built up, but I do know that we got in line for Jack and Sally at 5:30 and were within the first 10 groups, but at 5:45 people started swarming the line there and it got huge fast.

Last year the line for the Pooh characters was longer than the line for the witch, but that might be because people who were not researching the party did not know she was there since she was new.

You might have trouble getting a spot for the early Boo to You around Casey's at 7:45. Someone who usually stands/sits over there can tell you better. I know that Main Street can already be packed an hour before the parade.

What witch does meet and greets at MNSSHP? We've been going and never knew this, even if she was new last year.
We never do the M&G but was really tempted last year with Jack and Sally, along with Jack Sparrow

The Hag from Snow White was out with a basket of apples last year. If I remember right, she was standing along the path that runs from the original Fantasyland area back toward ETWB and Ariel. We got some good pictures with her. She was closer to the original part of Fantasyland, and then Gaston was further on down the path on the other side at his usual meeting spot by the tavern.

Okay, thanks
Good to know, my 4 yr old would never have allowed this anyway. She is scared to death of her. Had to cover her eyes at the end of 7DMT when our car stopped right next to her. Now if it was Maleficient, she'd be all over that!

I'd skip BOG dinner. We have it booked for 5pm on a MNSSHP night, but we're not going to the party on that night. Get in line early for the 7 Dwarfs and Boo to You. Or just catch the later Boo to You. It won't be nearly as crowded as the 8:15.

My DD too, thanks to the movie last year. She was 8 last year, and for the very first time she decided to go as something other than a Disney princess- Maleficent. It was the first time she ever considered dressing as a Villain and couldn't wait to get her picture with Maleficent after the mix and mingle dressed as her. Then, they took that meet and greet away, and charged $100 a ticket to be able to meet her at the Villian's soiree! Yep- I'm a total sucker. I have to admit that was a lot of fun though!

I wouldn't plan to do BOG this night, but that's just my opinion.

-Get in line for the Seven Dwarfs at 6pm
I would get in line for the Dwarfs around 5:30 so you waste less actual party time.

-Meet the Witch; if too busy head to the Pooh characters
I don't think you'll have too much trouble with the Witch. The Pooh characters are tricky. In the past they've only come out on the half hour and their line gets cut easily, so you'd have to line up a little early for them. You might want to try and head over here straight after the dwarfs and save the witch for after Pooh

-Get spot for Boo to You at 7:45 for 8:15 show (outside Casey's)
You might have a hard time finding a spot at 7:45 for the 8:15 parade. If possible I would just plan to see the later parade and then check out the dance party after that.

Note that all of these characters don't meet together. Jafar meets in one area. Genie/Jasmine rotate with Aladdin/Abu. You MAY get lucky towards the end of the night and see all 4 together but it doesn't always happen.

-Meet Jack Sparrow outside of Pirates
He's a popular meet, definitely see what his schedule is like ahead of time and plan to get their early.

-Club Villian dance party in Diamond Horseshoe
-Can watch Boo to You again in Frontierland
See my earlier notes about these 2

-7DMT if line is short enough
Plan for this to be the last thing you do. You can get in line right up until 11:59, and it should hopefully not be too long of a wait.

Hope that helps! :)

Shes the Crone from Snow White I beleive. I had barely any wait to meet her she was mean though stole my broom and gave me an apple!

I don't know if I'm allowed to put this but try: DISNEYDiningbuddy it's 8 bucks but they consistently tell you when BOG or other hard reservations come by I used it and got BOG for surprisingly my engagement propsal diner it was AMAZING to eat in the ballroom let me tell you ... A must do,

Other than that your plan looks good to me

-Dinner @ 4pm (still trying for BOG) - i would drop this and opt for a counter service before approaching the park, party time is valulable and whilst the party dosnt start until 7, queues will form for Jack Skellington and 7Dwarves at around 430
-Get in line for the Seven Dwarfs at 6pm - i would grab spot for this by 5:00-5:30 latest - you are closer to the front meaning once this meet is over you have more party time for other activities
-Meet the Witch; if too busy head to the Pooh characters - The witch is a rarer character to meet i would opt for her over the pooh characters - dependent on who you have in your party and your priorities, whilst pooh costumes are cute - the likely chances of meeting the witch again are slim!
-Get spot for Boo to You at 7:45 for 8:15 show (outside Casey's) - sounds like a plan however i would opt to get there a tad earlier, this is the point you can grab a spot for the parade and then send one of your party out to grab caseys for snacks - thats what me and my wife do.
-Stay in spot for Hallowishes which starts at 9:30 (Projection show at 9:15) - good call, Hallowishes is the best fireworks display ive ever seen in disney.
-Villians Mix and Mingle show at 10pm on castle stage - the villains mix and mingle is good show but they no longer mingle, if its the same set up as last year you can now "Mingle" with the villains at Club Villain a dance party and your also likely to bump into some rarer villains like Fowlfellow and Gideon, it was worth the wait for the dance party in my opinion. we were a party of two adults and have had so much fun at this dance party.
-If missed Pooh characters earlier, head there now this would be a good time to head there if its a must on your list. you should probably do it at this time rather than earlier in the party.
-Haunted Mansion it does get very busy at the party but its worth it the haunted mansion has an extra spooky feel on Halloween Night.
-Pumpkin waffle from Sleepy Hollow - Very tasty food, you can grab this during the pre-party time between 4-7 i would opt for this over a caseys during parade!
  • -Meet Jafar, Genie, Jasmine, Abu, Aladdin in Agrabah Marketplace - i would swap these two around,
  • -Meet Jack Sparrow outside of Pirates - Jack is so much more busier than Jafar and Aladdin - so i would opt to hit him first. then go to Jafar.
-Club Villian dance party in Diamond Horseshoe - good call!
-Can watch Boo to You again in Frontierland - i would opt to do somthing differentm during the parade time is a good chance to hit some other things because people want to see the parade, whilst is very enjoyable and i could certainly watch it twice i would be tempted to try and see a different character or attraction, if your next thing from boo to you is 7DMT i would head over to the mine train and ride during he parade time for a shorter wait.
-7DMT if line is short enough

Also will be doing some trick or treating throughout the evening. We're two 29 year old adults if that helps! - hey age is but a number! me and my wife hit the trick or treat stops along the way and we are 26-28yo so your nevber too old to enjoy free candy!

Is there anything important we're missing? Would you do things differently? THANKS!

my comments above for you, im suprised you are not meeting Jack Skellington? he is a very rare party character only been in florida past few years! i would be going there - maybe he not on your must do list everyones different.

i would save the eating for the end of the night or preparty time - its not long of a party to fit in alot of stuff you wanna do thats why i comment on watching the parade from either outside the Hall Of Presidents, so you can grab some sleepy hollow foods whilst you wait
or the caseys corner spot so you can grab some dogs whilst you wait!

dont forget the Cadaver Dans will be in frontierland , they are a great babershop quartet singing seasonal songs -
- on mainstreet if you watch the parade you get to see the Creeper Crew (not that good bud hey!) LOL

whatever you choose to do, you will have an amazing time,

I have a question, many people suggest going to the second parade instead of the first because it's less crowded. However, what if you want a decent spot for CtM/HalloWishes? I assume most people who are there during the first parade would stay in place for fireworks. So how early would you have to arrive for CtM/HalloWishes?

1.Pooh characters always seem hard to meet to me. They usually cut their lines off before they even come out. We stopped by numerous times for them at MNSSHP in 2013 and never met them. We got lucky at MVMCP last year and the CM let us in line when she probably shouldn't have...I would be sure to get their much earlier than their arrival time if they are an important M&G for you.

2. I have done a dinner before both parties at 4 and it worked out well. I would only do it if I could get a 4:00 reservation though...no later. I would line up for the dwarves as soon as your done with dinner. The earlier the better! If the have Jack and Sally out again this year that will help with the dwarves line first thing because it will help spread people out waiting early I would think.

3. I would definitely try for the 2nd parade. We got a great spot at the end of Main Street looking towards the castle our first time and it looked like the headless horseman was coming straight towards us.

I absolutely LOVE MNSSHP! There is so much to see and do...have fun!!

Not really. People will be lined up along Main Street to watch the parade, but that's not a good angle to see the fireworks or CtM from. Most of them will move into the street in order to get a better view of the castle.

I ended up at the 2nd parade due to the soiree, just remember you have to show up 15 minutes earlier then expected for the special parade treat!
