When I was little, I thought that Mister Rogers could really see me through the TV. He talked directly to his audience, so I just assumed he was in the TV watching me. I had to brush my hair in the morning before I would watch his show. :)

I had forgotten all about that until I saw the news this morning. :(

Along the same lines - I stopped watching Romper Room because she never said my name when she looked into the mirror thing.

Ha ha ha, Kermit! :D I'm sad about Mr. Rogers, he was so calm and kind. "Lady Elaine Fairchild"...she was scary to me. But "X the Owl" and "Henrietta Pussycat." :D :D :D

p.s. was content to be safely on the other side of the screen when the trolley pulled up. ;)

<font color=navy>Kermit :)

Mr. Rogers was kind of after my time, but I remember that I really thought that Sheriff John & Hobo Kelly could see me. :)

I also used to watch a show until the end, whether I wanted to or not, cuz I didn't want to hurt their feelings when they saw me change the channel.

(I was very young)

I got my feelings hurt by Romper room too, JTB, she never said "Katholyn" when she looked through that mirror :(

And she never knew it was my birthday, either :(

I loved Mr. Rogers and I thought he could see me, too. :teeth:

When I was very young, before my parents' divorce, when the house was in an uproar (it seemed) ALL the time, he brought a real sense of peace. The calm voice of reassurance letting me know I was okay and the whole world wasn't crazy. :)

Oh, that's a sweet story. My DS and I used to watch his show together.:D

I LOVED Mr. Rogers and watched it every morning. One day on his show he was showing how to make waffles. My mom was still sleeping and my sister and I thought we would be able to make our own waffles for breakfast...after all, Mr. Rogers had just showed us how to make the. To make a long story short, we ended up making a HUGE mess in the kitchen and we didn't end up with eatable waffles :)

Yeah I agree! She was kind of NASTY! Her and her crazy Museum Go Round! LOL

Wasnt there a donkey (I forget the name) who lived somewhere called "Someplace Else"- in the Land of MakeBelieve?

She scared me too!!!! I had such mixed emotions about her... she was one of the only "people" I knew who shared my first name, but she really was a scary looking puppet!!

I still have my King Friday puppet - a little puppy chewed, but still a treasure, nonetheless.
How sad I was to hear the news today....
Won't you be my neighbor?
