My magic plus confusion

I am arriving on Sunday and am curious to know whether or not I should choose to use FP plus system. It seems to me that using the old system allows you more opportunities for FP. I have read conflicting reports about te ability to get additional paper FP if using FP plus. Any ideas ?

I would choose to use FP+ if I were you. Although traditionally a lower crowd time, we don't really know what crowds will be like this year, since there is one less week between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Reports recently have indicated that traditional FP have been running out very early for headliner attractions. Furthermore, chances are you will still receive a KTTW card (unless staying at Pop) and may have the ability to pull regular FP as well. I just think your best chance to get headliner attractions done with lower wait times is to book FP+ for the big ones (probably in the afternoon), arrive early and use standby for the first couple hours, and then consider regular FP a bonus if they are available.

I don't know why you wouldn't prebook some FP+ before you go. You can at least secure some headliners before you leave. Unless you stay at POP you will still get a KTTW to pull FP-.

Reports are that headliners with FP- have been running out really early so I book those in advance if you have the chance.

This! There is absolutely NO reason not to book some FP+ attractions. You don't NEED to use them, but they will still be there if you choose to. It does you no harm to have them. Unless you are staying at POP you will still get a KTTW card, so you will be able to grab traditional FP- whether you book FP+ or not.

Plus there have been many reports of FP- running out by 10am for the headliners. I would not hesitate to book some FP+ attractions if I were you. Won't hurt anything.
