My Lucky Son

My son's friend Mina was the NJ winner for the MTV Spiderman 2 premiere contest. He and a friend are being flown to LA, will attend the premiere, and will attend the celebrity after-party. He gets r/t airfare from Newark to LA, a first class hotel (I think it's the Renaissance) and all this cool stuff. My son Josh was chosen by Mina to be his buddy.

Only one snafu - they get home June 23rd at 10:30 at night -graduation is at 7pm. Guess he won't walk for his HS graduation. Do I blame him? Not at all!!!! I'll be present at his college graduation in 4 years.

Since he's going into broadcasting I told him to hit them up for an internship - hey, you never know!

Baileymouse, that is incredible!! How awesome for your son!! I would LOVE to be at that party after, what a terrific time he will have...any chance of pictures??

Congratulations to your son and his friend! How cool! Sounds like a once in a lifetime chance and he should go for it! June 23??? Boy that's late isn't it? All of our schools graduated last week.

Snow days kept them in later this year so that's why the 23rd of June for graduation. He's going to bring the camera - digital, of course, so I'm hoping they let him use it.

He has to buy his own food, lol. MTV cheaped out on that part, and they aren't flying direct.

I'm hoping he gets some cool shots so he can submit them to the local paper.
