I joined you guys on WISH during the summer but haven't really posted, just lurked. BUT, I did start walking with my girlfriend about 2 to 3 times a week and 3 1/2 to 4 miles each time. We haven't done it in about two weeks (weather has been nasty, we both have been sick) and I do NOT own a scale so I am not sure if I have lost anything (probably not) but I think this board is great. The amount of encouragement everyone gives each other, without judgement, is overwhelming. Whether you want to lose 10 or 100 pounds we are all treated the same and for that I say Thank You. We are getting back to walking this weekend and I just wanted to say thanks for this "outlet". 


The scale isn't the only measurement of success. How you feel is an important indication of how well you're doing. Walking is great and sounds like an enjoyable exercise for you with your friend.
