This is part of a letter I wrote to "my" soldier, to whom I'll be sending another care package tomorrow. I also plan to send newspaper clippings about the liberation of Baghdad. Maybe others would want to share their thoughts and pride with their soldiers, marines, military men and women.

"I was overjoyed watching the liberation of Baghdad on TV. I cannot imagine what those Iraqi citizens were thinking about their first taste of freedom! It was wonderful watching them tug on the statue of Saddam, and to see and hear their cheers when it fell.

I have come to realize that I have taken my freedom for granted, because I have never had to live without it. Thank you for helping to ensure that I never will. You and your colleagues should be proud of what you are doing to keep America safe, and to bring freedom to the oppressed people of Iraq."

Very well written. Thanks for sharing! :D
